Do not buy this device unless you plan on upgrading your console to the new Playstation Neo coming out this year. The current ps4 cannot run the VR games as they should be run and will cause lag and screen tearing. This is not what you want in a video game, especially one like VR. The reason for the PS Neo is VR. You have been warned, if you do not believe what I have written, then you should research it yourself, save your money unless you plan on the upgrade to Playstation Neo.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I first played Devil may cry 1 , 2 & 3 on the ps2 and then played Devil May Cry 4 on my Xbox 360, and what an awesome ride they all were. We then were given DMC ( Devil May Cry ) as what seemed like a reboot of the series, it received a mixed bag of reviews, as some of the changes were just a little to much for some of the die hard fans of the original Devil May Cry to accept.
I think the biggest change was to Dante himself, apart from just not sounding like himself he also received a total new character model, the most shocking thing being the short dark hair style instead of the longer white hair . I know that something like hair length and color might seem kind of petty but MANY people really had a problem with it and I as well had to get used to the new look, voice and hair.
Now after the initial shock as I began to play the game the issues I had began to fade from memory as the gameplay of DMC was just as fun, flashy and furious as it was in the original games. During the early cut scenes I would see our new Dante and still get a slight feeling of wrongness about him, but after a little more play I didn't even think about it again. The game is just to great to let the little things I mentioned above keep you from having a blast with this game.
Now on to our new flashy Xbox One version ( Definitive Edition #.. This is still the DMC you remember except with upgraded polished graphics # it looked awesome on the 360 ) and running at 60 fps and 1080P. I can tell you that the new polish and increase in frame rate and resolution make this already beautiful game simply jaw dropping.. DMC is full of color and is amplified to the extreme in this new version , leaving you drooling at the beauty of this game, and the 60 frames per second give you some of the silkiest controls you have ever had..
This is the question , is a game you have played before worth the purchase price again ? That is what you have to ask yourself. To me at the low price point of 39.99 it is a steal . The new graphics , frame rate and resolution alone are enough for me because I truly enjoyed the game on my 360. If you have never played this game or any of the past entries you are in for a real treat at a relatively low price point. Great price and great value , this is one game that I can say is a must play..

Side note : If you don't like Dante's new look you can change his appearance with the character model skins that come packed in this new version. I have been using the skin from the first Devil May Cry and he now looks like our old Dante. There are a selection of skins , I think you have a choice of a skin from DMC 1 - 4 . so if for some reason you don't want to play as the new redesigned Dante you can put one of the skins provided on him and just forget about the new look.. I personally think that was a nice touch for this edition..
Edit : 3-15-15 -I have completed the game on Demon Hunter difficulty and have completed the extra content Virgil's fall.. The main campaign took me about 91/2 hours to complete and I completed Virgil's fall in about an hour & 45 min. I know some could complete this game faster but I am one that looks in every nook and cranny for collectables and such. But even if I didn't you could only shave off maybe 45 min to an hour . But I put in about a total of about 11 hours and 10 minutes into my first play through , and that's not a bad game length at all .. Not to short and not to long , it just feels about right and never over stays it's welcome.. Now it's time to start again on the next hardest difficulty and get some more achievements and enjoy the game all over again.

How do you describe one of the best gaming experiences of all time ? Epic ? Glorious ? Fantastic ? the list could go on and on and each one of those words and many more of praise would fit the Halo Master Chief Edition.
Everything is here in this little box , Every one of the Master Chiefs adventures can be enjoyed on a single disk , in High Definition at 1080p and 60 fps. ALL of the games 1 - 4 are absolutely stunning . Halo 4 even looks as though it were made for this console , it was beautiful on the 360 but the power of the Xbox One has turned this game into a true master piece.
If you play Halo 1 - 2 and feel that the graphics are kind of dated , just hit your select button on the controller and revert back to the original garphics , that should put everything into perspective for you and let you witness just the amount of work that went into recreating the games , but at the same time leaving them more or less intact as they were upon original release. I remember the first time I played Halo 1 -2 and remember just being amazed at the beauty of the games and the awesome gameplay itself. Now all these years later I'm playing these beloved games again , but not realizing what a graphical leap games have made since then , upon reverting back to the original release graphics is a shock and lets us know just how far we have come in gaming , in really a short amount of time.
Halo 3 - 4 still feel like the modern games of today and still are far better than many games releasing now and in the future. Halo 3 still looks like Halo 3 except with more polish and detail that couldn't be achieved on the 360 , it's still such an amazing game that I have made many , many trips through with the Chief. Halo 4 is the real stand out , I thought it was a beautiful game on the 360 but on the Xbox One it just far surpasses the 360 version. Everything and every detail is amped up , colors , explosions , weapons fire , sounds , I mean absolutely everything. All of these games have been remade or touched up in some way and really my description of the detail in Halo 4 applies to all the games , it's just more dramatic in Halo 4 because it is the newer game.
If you have never played Halo before the time is never better , With this collection you can experience The Halo saga in the best condition it has ever been. All four games , 100 multiplayer maps , all the downloadable content , Halo NightFall and the Halo 5 Beta , all on one console and one disk .. That is a HUGE amount of content for only 59.99.. There has never been a value like this before , it is worth every cent. I highly recommend this wonderful experience to anyone .. If you like a great story , it's here , if you just like First person shooters , it's got you covered , if you like beautiful games and exotic locations , it's got you covered on this front as well. This is a truly amazing game for everyone..

EDIT : November 13 2014 , 4:40 am. - Halo CE in the Master Chief Collection complete , now its time to work on part 2 :) It a great time to be a Halo Fan , this collection is utterly fantastic !!!
Edit : November 18 2014 , 4:50 am. - Halo 2 is now complete and I am reminded why this is praised as the best in the series.. The new graphics & cut sceens make this game look completely new and fresh. It's been so long since I've played this game that I had forgotten alot of the game. In reality it was like playing a game I have never played before.. AWESOME !!!
Edit : November 24 2014 , 3:35 am - I just completed Halo 3 and it was just as much fun as my first countless playthroughs , even though it didn't get the anniversary treatment it still looks fabulous on the Xbox one at 1080p and 60fps. Everything is just buttery smooth.. I have also began my playthrough of Halo 4 and OMG , it looks like it was made for the Xbox One , it looks utterly FANTASTIC , I'm not over exagerating when I tell you it looks like a brand new next gen game..

I have been waiting for this game for quite some time now and I can honestly say it has been well worth the wait. I have been playing for about 2 1/2 hours so far and decided I would share my opinion of the game. As I progress further into the game I will update my review.
Graphics : The graphics in this game will not blow your mind but they are pleasing to look at. The closest example I can give you would be to compare them to Gears of War 3. The facial animations could have been a touch better but everything else is comparable to Gears 3.
Character movements : Everything seems to be spot on. character movements are smooth and easy. just like in any third person shooter you have your dodge from side to side where you do a roll to escape whatever you are trying to get away from. also the same is true from front and back. Control of your character is very tight and responsive.
Vehicles : This is the way you will get from point A to point B. At any time all you have to do is press up on your D-Pad and what ever vehicle you have equipped will appear a short distance away. The few vehicles I have been able to use so far handle just fine , I didnt flip my four wheeler once. This feature is awesome , being able to call for a ride whenever you want cant be beat. It is deffinately preferable to trudging the whole way by foot or scouting around for something to drive. You can walk/run everywhere if you please but I had rather ride.
Gunplay : Hit detection seems to be spot on. Your reticle will turn a bright red when you run it across an enemy and when you fire you can feel the effects through the controller. You can not only see that you are hitting your intended target but you can also feel it.
Skill Tree : Since I have just began to play There is no way I can remember everything about this but i will give you a general summary. You can choose a certain ability like Cloak where you become invisible to your enemies for a certain time frame. As you progress you begin to unlock perks for that particular ability. Since the cloak ability is a stealth ability the types of perks you unlock will be stealth based. The same is true for all the other available abilities. I really cant go anymore indepth with this because the cloak ability is what I have started with and am currently useing and have not tried anything else. Something I can tell you is that there are LOTS of perks to build around your abilities.
Character Progression : As you level your character up you will unlock new guns , perks , armor/clothing to make your character your own. You gain (XP = Experience points) for just about everything you do. the best way to get the most XP out of killing an enemy is to shoot them a bit then walk/run to them and meele them. This gives you about 40 XP per kill verses only 15 XP per kill if you just gunn them down. So shoot a bit then run up to them and give them a smack to the face.
This is about all i can tell you at the moment. I got this game as soon as Best Buy opened its doors then ran home and popped it in. You will have to be very patient when you first begin to play. Before you begin to play you will have to install the game , update patches , and you will recieve an Xbox live update. This will take some time so just wait and be patient. I am getting a 25 meg internet speed from comcast and this still took a while. So the slower your speeds the slower the install/updates and vice versa the faster your connections the faster the install/updates will be. When I first tried to play I couldnt get online because of everyone trying to get on at one time. I expected this as it happens with all online games on release date. I waited about an hour then tried again and popped right into the game without a hitch. For all of you that dont know THIS IS AN ONLINE ONLY GAME ( MMO = MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER ONLINE ). I dont want anyone to make the mistake of buying this game thinking you can play offline.
And in closing : In my opinion this is a great game so far, also I am extreemly happy with my purchase and reccomend this game to any action/shooter fan. The world is a huge open world just begging you to explore and kill the nasty alien/mutant. I just cant reccomend this game enough. Game on everyone , have fun.

I dont know why people keep bashing this game , it plays just like COD 4 . the weapons are WW2 weapons but what did you expect with a WW2 game. there are plenty of weapons to choose from you just have to unlock them making it that more challenging. some people say that you start out with junk weapons but that is definately not true and you unlock the MP40 after being promoted after the first few promotions which is one of the best weapons , the next to unlock is the type 100 which is another fast shooting great weapon. people are also grumbling about the tanks because they say they are nearly indestructible which is of course not true. All you have to do is shoot it twice with a rocket launcher amd then a grenade and it is destroyed. this is true 99% of the time. I mean what did you expect ,it is a tank and its not supposed to be killed with a few shots from your gun or a grenade or two , it doesnt happen in real life why should it happen in the game. people also gripe about some of the boards being to dark and bad graphics. look all you have to do is go into the options in the game and go to brightness and turn it up all the way and it will be plenty bright enough ( I guarantee the people that say it is to dark never tried this). and talking about the graphics , the graphics on the game are great people that dont like the game are just trying to find more reasons to bash the game. the artillary strikes you get after 5 streight kills is just awsome much beltter than the air strikes on COD 4 , they are just devastating to an enemy if plced right. all you have to do is wait for one of your teamates to get a recon plane so you can see where the enemy is and then pumel them with your artillary strikes. after 7 streight kills you get to call the dogs to action and this is another great additive . call your dogs and follow them and they will lead you and your teamates to the enemy plus giving you extra kills like the helecopter on COD4. people also say the dogs are nearly indestructibe and this is also not true , you can either shoot them or if you don't want to give your position away kill them with your knife, its that simple , but learn to time your knife attack right or they will kill you , but it only takes a few times to get the hang of it. the boards are also just awsome, they are alot bigger than COD4 giving you more places to hide and move around in stealth to find the enemy. also in march treyarch the creator of the game is coming out with new map packs to download so you will have more boards to play on. ( I CAN'T HARDLY WAIT !!!!!!!!!!! ) . all I can say is that this is a great game and one that I can't wait to get home to play after I get home from work. I will not bash COD 4 because I own this one also and have enjoyed this game for many hours and still play it with my friends, we tend to alternate between the two but COD5 is my favorite. so if you buy this game and I
think you should dont give up on it after the first few minutes because the more you play the better it gets , and believe me it is great. for the people that keep posting negative junk they either are not any good at the game or dont have the patience to unlock the better weapons on the game and think it should be handed to them like on COD4 . so dont listen to the negative junk and try it yourself buy it or rent it it doesnt matter you wont be disappointed. what I have just said in this review is based mostly on the online multiplayer part of this game but dont get me wrong the campaign is also one of the best.

The Playstation Neo is not some mysterious unknown machine, it releases this year most likely right before the Ps VR or along with it. The extra power in the console is to deliver the VR experience that people want, the launch edition Ps4 isn't powerful enough to handle it... Believe what you want, by all means go buy yourself the VR headset without upgrading to the Neo when it releases, but remember that you read this when you find that it doesn't work as expected.
