Josephz2va's Reviews

Launched in 2011, this design established the trend of paper-thin TV antennas. Universally compatible with all HDTVs, the Mohu Leaf 50 offers the benefits and powerful performance of our notorious design coupled with the Jolt Switch USB in-line amplifier to reach a 60-mile range. Control TV signal amplification in real time with a simple ON/OFF switch. When it~s "on", TV signals are increased for clearer picture and sound, sometimes receiving channels beyond your antenna~s standard range. When it~s "off", amplification is bypassed while TV signals are still filtered from FM and cellular interference. When plugged into your TV~s USB port, the amplifier only draws power when the TV is on, saving energy, or use the included USB power adapter with any standard wall outlet. Perfect for suburban areas, compact living spaces, single-TV homes, dorm rooms, RVs~take this efficient antenna just about anywhere you go. Easy to set up and easy on the eyes. Multi-directional UHF and Hi-VHF elements receive TV signals from both sides, so you can show either side of the black or white reversible design or paint the Leaf antenna for a customized look. Note: The range of this antenna will vary greatly depending on the height, power, and frequency of signals coming from the TV tower, as well as the height of the antenna installation, the terrain, and obstacles between your home and the broadcast towers. Find your TV towers and channels by using our free Antenna Point app on your android or iOS device.

Should have went Mohu 60 Pro Install
on August 21, 2015

Not the Mohu's fault. It's the provider's faults. First off, you'll need a longer cable or an adapter to make it longer. Where you need to place it may be too short. In Woodbridge VA to Washington DC area, all my channels are facing Northeast from my house and my TV is on the Southwest side. So I need to place the antenna to the back of the room to get the majority of the channels. Second, the antenna isn't strong enough to receive most of those channels apparently unless you place it as high as the ceiling in your bedroom with so much foliage in the area. It would be best to get the Mohu 60 Pro Install instead or an Omnidirectional Antenna if you're in a foliage neighborhood. Lots and lots of trees.

Requires recharging every 5 hours
on January 6, 2015

It's a great product for fitness trainers. However, the GPS mode I found out drains the watch every 5 hours. If you're not into using GPS tracking, it'll last a week.
So be sure you're carrying your Fitbit charger with you to work and recharge it, which is inconvenient as it takes 2 hours to recharge it to 100 percent.

Delivers great powerful recharging for any phone
on November 23, 2012

Mophie delivered a great power brick for multiple device usage this time around. On timing an iPhone 4S on standby 0% to 100% takes just as much time as it does with charging on the wall. However, when I finished recharging my iPhone, I still had one extra capacity to recharge. That’s perfect for draining the battery again and recharging again. Or loaning the battery to a friend for their own phone. Such as an Android or a regular cellphone that supports USB to compatible phone port.
Three drawbacks set it back one star on the mophie. If you wiggle the micro USB port, you cancel the charging and start it over again. Also, it didn’t work on my home charger when it wasn’t level and not stretching. If you see all four green lights, it’s not recharging. It must blink to charge. It’s best to lay the brick equal to the location of the charging cable. If the charging light doesn’t blink, it’s not recharging at all.
Another drawback is that you must let it recharge for six hours on an empty cell. One cell light is 1.5 hours recharged. That’s an overnight recharge of a total of six hours.
This also does not recharge your iPhone during the battery’s own recharge. I’ve tried plugging it in while it is recharging and it has not recharged the iPhone at all. You have to unplug it from the charging port to charge your device. Unlike the Mophie Juice Pack Plus which does recharge, this does not.
Other than that it is a good product. Great for charging on the go and giving it to other phone users.
What's great about it: Delivers extra hours of phone time
What's not so great: Problematic micro USB port; Pack’s recharge time is 6 hours; Doesn’t recharge the iPhone when it is recharging
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Price; Better with Snapstream software
on May 29, 2009

On my first attempt to use this as a QAM cable tuner, the installation into "Windows Media Center" was terrible. You had to install a bunch of non-OEM patches to get any QAM channels. WinTV is terrible too as no program guide.
It worked the best once I spent an extra $100 and installed Snapstream BeyondTV which gave me up to 40 QAM channels compared to 25 QAM channels with some basic channels missing which supports both Windows devices and iPods.
What's great about it: Price is under 100 dollars
What's not so great: Software bundled is terrible, replaced with Snapstream software
I would recommend this to a friend!

Battery

What kind of battery does it take or does it plug in to charge. How long does a battery last.
The battery is built in. Just be sure you have your charging cable handy if you're using any fitness training program. Regular use it'll last one week. GPS tracking exercises like a jog around the park, 5 hours.
