This album from 1987 is an outstanding example of 80's metal and one of Kiss' best from this decade. Paul's songs are great, catchy and fun: Crazy Crazy Nights, I'll Fight He.ll to Hold You, Bang Bang You, My Way, Reason to Live, Turn on the Night, and (sort of) When Your Walls Come Down are all good. It's not that Gene's are bad, they just sound dated. Especially No, No, No. But Thief In The Night is pretty good. This is their 2nd best 80's album, ahead of Lick It Up, Animalize, Asylum, and Hot In The Shade. It's second only to Creatures Of The Night.(Check out all these albums too.) If you're new to KISS, this is a good place to start for the 80's.
What's great about it: Paul's songs, Bruce's guitar, Eric's drums

This set has got to be the best of the 3. The Revenge/Alive 3 show is great andhas got to be one of Paul's best performances. The MTV Unplugged Show is almost worth the price alone. It is just a great show with all the guys playing new and old stuff. The Tiger Stadium Show isn't concert footage shot witha camera. It's The fooage from the jumbotron which makes i very odd half the time. Mouths aren' sync'ed up and the guys turn weird colors. The LA concert and the last Kiss concert with the original 4 is also good. This set has the best easter eggs oo. The 4th disc is from Kiss's first show in 1973, for a die-hard fan it's cool to see them so early in their career but the audio is not too good and the footage was shot frm the back of the room-it's pretty terrible. Overall great 5/5.

This set is better than Kissology 1 but not as good as 3. This basically covers Dynasty through Lick It Up. And CrazyNights and Hot In The Shade. But its missing the known existing footagefrom Anamalize and Asylum. The older material has pretty bad picture, but that's to be expected. The Phantom of The Park movie is just classic. The 2 brightest spots are the great but sad final performances/footage of Eric Carr. The other is the 1990 Hot In The Shade concert- clearly one ofPaul's best performance, and long- 21 songs! Paul and Gene's commentary on all segments is also very cool to listen to. The Best Buy extra- 1988 Crazy Nights concert is pretty garbage as far as picture goes, way too dark and grainy but the audio is good. Becareful though, I had to bring mine back twice because it only had the sleeve for the bonus disc and not the actual disc. Ask to open it in front of them. Overall a great set for any fan. 4/5
