Great Shooter!

I know that a lot of people have complained about the campaign mode being too short, but this game is really about the multi-player experience. I played through the campaign on several difficulty levels, and I still found it to be fresh and challenging. The scenery is amazing, the enemy AI is formidable, and the voice acting is well done in comparison to COD 4 (any scenes with the Marines were brutal to listen to in COD 4 but Semper Fi nonetheless). However, the game really comes to life in the multiplayer modes.
Special Ops mode is a great excuse to sit down with a buddy and shoot up some bad guys for a few hours, and the objectives are interesting if not completely innovative. Online multiplayer is as good as I have seen it on any game I have played to date. The ranking/leveling up feature is enough to keep the most hardcore gamer occupied for quite a while if you like to have every upgrade or achievement possible. My only gripe is that I agree with others that there should be some system to discourage camping. Perhaps if a player sits idle for long enough, their XP should be reduced for every kill. I do see how this is a working strategy for some, but not all players appreciate it.
The list of different playing modes is excellent, and the clan system is good, but again not innovative. Weapons are diverse and each has its own strengths and weaknesses. Even the most veteran players aren't unstoppable if you pick the right combination of weapons to stop them. I do agree though that if you run and gun through the whole thing you will feel the sting of death quite often (as I do). Unless you object to violent videogames or shooters in general, this game has something for every action fan. I don't usually write reviews of videogames, so this one is quite special for me. I haven't been able to stop playing since I bought it!!
What's great about it: Online play and story mode are amazing.
What's not so great: Matchmaking should be based on experience level.
I would recommend this to a friend!
