Roger Donaldson's offbeat hostage comedy Cadillac Man comes to DVD with a pair of transfers. The widescreen anamorphic transfer preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1, and is preferable in every way to the standard full-frame image. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround, and a Spanish soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Mono. Subtitles are accessible in all three of those languages as well. Supplemental materials are limited to the original theatrical trailer. MGM/UA has done a solid job with this film, especially when one considers the inexpensive list price.

I wouln't consider this a comedy even by a streach of the imagination. There are comedic moments, but not enough to blot out the "R" rating. I wouldn't pay a dime to see it again. In fact, I want those two hours of my life back.
What's great about it: Makes you thankful for 2009
What's not so great: Used car salesmen sleeze
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Joss Whedon attempted to follow up his successful series Buffy the Vampire Slayer with the science fiction-themed Firefly. Although the series failed to garner a mass audience, it did have a loyal following. Those fans will be pleased by this box set that contains every episode of the series that aired, as well as three never-before-seen episodes. All 15 episodes are presented in anamorphic widescreen. English, French, and Spanish soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. Commentaries are available on four of the episodes. Production featurettes, a blooper reel, and a tour of the set with Whedon round out this solid package that should be of interest to genre enthusiasts as well as Whedon's fans.

Joss Whedon does a fantastic job, too bad he was only allowed 12 or so episodes to introduce us to these great characters. Fox should be ashamed of themselves for buying up a great show solely for the purpose of shutting it down. Only the fan outcry made them publish the series to DVD. Hooray for fans! You let Mainstream Media know you wanted a movie! Watch Serenity next peeps.

What's not so great: Yanked off the air by greedy corperate

Nick and Nora Charles are updated to a touchy-feely couple of the 1990s who take a break from the action to raise their eleven-month-old child. Kathleen Turner and Dennis Quaid star as Jane and Jeff Blue, two CIA super-agents who have abandoned the daily grind to devote quality time to their baby but find trouble on vacation in New Orleans. First a group of muggers try to take advantage of Jeff as he walks down the street with his baby in tow. Jeff teaches the boys a humiliating lesson, but one of the creepy bad guys, Muerte (Stanley Tucci), vows revenge, and he spends the rest of the movie dogging Jeff and Jane and getting kicked in the teeth in the process. But Muerte is small potatoes compared to Novacek (Fiona Shaw), a former Czech agent. Convinced to return to work by their superiors, Jeff and Jane have to catch Novacek red-handed buying illegal explosives from a New Orleans traitor so that the government can send her back to the Czech republic.

First saw it when I was a kid, watched it again and so much more funny now.
What's great about it: situational humor without stooping low
What's not so great: corny humor, if you don't like that

As far as I know, only Apple can service apple products. Anything that goes to Best Buy for service gets mailed to Apple and they replace the batteries.

Where can I buy, and how much does a Sony Lamp XL-2100U or XL-2100 cost.
DLP bulbs for rear projection TVs cost $190 to $250 and the best place to get them is online at various online retailers. They mail them right to your house.

How much would it cost to have a laptop screen repaired?
Someone stepped on my laptop and there's a long diagonal scratch from corner to corner; would it cost a lot to have it fixed?
Usually a screen repair like that costs more than the computer is worth. By the time they put all the labor into digging the screen out, you're better off using a regular computer moniter. Or buying a new laptop. Dollar amount? $300 to $500

what is causing the big blue haze on my rear projection Sony TV?
If your TV is bout three or four years old, or it's newer than that but you use it a LOT... the bulb is going out. Red and yellow get used up first, so the blue is getting bolder and bolder. Check for new bulbs online. They can mail you new ones for cheaper sometimes. Usually $190 to $250.

Depending on the brand of fridge you have, it could be the compressor or the ducts, or a lack of coolent. If I were you, I'd pay the $60-$80 to get someone out and run a check on the system from the back. Then at least you'd know how much parts will cost, or if something was just plugged, or if it's time to get a new fridge. Need a second opinion? Call the manufacterer and ask for a technician and describe the symptoms. This option is free, but you may be on hold a while.

Replacement bulbs for DLP TVs can cost $190 to $250, and can be obtained from the manufacterer, or various online retailers that will mail them to your home. There is a trap door in the side, where you unscrew the bulb just like a regular light bulb. Be careful not to touch the bulb with your bare hand, as the slightest grease from fingerprints can focus the heat and burn it out. If I were you, I'd order it online. Cheaper.

dryer does not stop running
when dryer time cycle ends,it keeps on running, although the heat is off. the only way to stop the dryer is to open the door. it will run again when door is closed. to dry clothes use normal method, but must open door to stop drum from continuously turning when cycle ends
Sounds to me like a glitch in the programming. My front load dryer turns on for a minute or so if I leave it on without emptying it. Maybe your dryer is trying to prevent wrinkles? Turn the wrinkle care off. If that dosen't work, call the Geek Squad or the manufacterer. It might need help from a software update or reset.

None of the stores in the Seattle area or even Washington as far as I know carry any DLP bulbs. You can get the direct replacement from the manufacturer and they mail them to you. Or you could just as easily order from an aftermarket website and they could also mail you one. They range in price from $250 and up. Plus shipping.

When will there be a new shipment of notebook laptops in stock?
A friend of mine needs a new notebook laptop. Is there a specific date they will be shipped in? Thanks.
I've noticed that the laptop models come and go about every month or two. Shipments vary by store, but usually come in every other day or so, depending on supply. If the manufacturer is low on quantitiy, the stores don't get as many.
