Great Product

Overall I love this product.
There was a little echo in the phone until after I configured QOS. QOS fixed the issue and now the handsets sound great.
I wish it didn't have to physically hook into the router / modem because that is not a convenient location for the Telo unit to be located. I wish it were a wireless network connection.
I had a little issue activating the service online because of having a different billing & mailing address and had to call customer service to resolve it. They answered my call quickly and were very helpful.
It took a little bit of trial and error to get it up and running, but overall it only took about 30 minutes (I have a complex home network, so that was really the issue, not the Telo itself). I would recommend this product to anyone who can afford the up-front $250 and $50 each for the handsets. I think it's a little pricey, but over a few months of having no phone bills to pay, the savings will outweigh the initial cost.
Before buying I was reading the promotional materials and it seemed like you could have multiple phone numbers in different area codes. It turns out that you CAN have this feature, but you only get one additional area code number for free. After that one, you have to pay a monthly fee for any additional ones. It would have been nice to provide a free phone number for a couple of my relatives to call me instead of just one of them.
There is no headset jack on the handsets or the base. That would have been a handy feature to include for those longer phone calls. It gets tiring holding the little telo handset up to your ear for a long period of time. There is a speaker phone feature, but that is not always convenient.
It was easy & fun to configure my contacts list with the online tools. You can even group them by "Family", "Friends", "Emergency Services", or whatever you like. Handy. It would be really cool if the telo handsets had the ability to display the picture of the person calling instead of just the text name.
I can't speak for the longevity of the product because I have only had it for one month. So far, so good.
What's great about it: Free phone calls. Ability to blacklist unwanted callers. Good call clarity (After QOS configured)
What's not so great: A little pricey for the Telo & handsets. QOS not set up out of the box. No headset jack.
I would recommend this to a friend!
