Quite Possibly The Best Collaboration CD - EVER!

I've been a Norah Jones fan from WAY back! She's got a raspy, soulful voice that is just so beautiful. She did a great job selecting individuals to sing with her on this album, although not all may be in her traditional 'style' per se. I think my favorite song may be her duet with Dolly Parton in fact! The songs, themselves, are famous in their own right, she just revamped them for a more modern audience! Great job!
What's great about it: Great vocals / Great Songs
What's not so great: I just want more . . . :-P

Spellbinding!

This is such a great album for anyone trying to relieve stress from a long, hard day. Very soothing and relaxing! Joshua Bell enlists the help of well-known musicians and vocalists in the production of this album. Every instrument is well represented so there is no lack of anything in this album for anyone! He does not adhere to just one musical genre: rock, classical, etc. are all present and accounted for! Just a great album all together!
What's great about it: Great instrumentals
What's not so great: Eh . . . some of the vocalists weren't that great for their song choices

What A Pleasant Surprise! Thumbs Up For Bible Belt
on June 12, 2009

I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first when I got this CD. I enjoy new artists, and Diana Birch is about as new for me as they come. I'm not into gospel music so the title "Bible Belt" was a bit daunting. However, rumor had it, I'd be pleasantly surprised . . . and I was! Diane Birch has a smooth, jazzy voice which is mildly hypnotic. The lyrics are not those 'churchy churchy' ones one might expect from a gospel album. She writes from the heart about anything and everything with some religious undertones thrown in here and there. She is a great up and coming artist. I can't believe this is her first album, it sounds as though she knows her stuff! This is a great album for adults/young adults who love blues and jazz like myself!
What's great about it: smooth lyrics, soulful voice
What's not so great: nothing!

"Yanni Voices" Hits A High Note With This Reviewer
on March 25, 2009

I have been a Yanni fan from years back. He has an uncanny way of invoking the emotions and senses with his harmonious instrumentals. Untraditional of his classical styling, Yanni enlisted the aid of four talented vocalists which brought their own style to the foreground of Yanni's ethereal melodies. Each track has an individual appeal and seems to be inspired from various parts of the globe. Personally, I found this refreshing. I did not get bored with the same old songs yet embarked on a wondrous journey throughout various countries. I would highly recommend this album to those unfamiliar with Yanni's previous accomplishments. The vocals will ease you into to Yanni's tranquil style, making you yearn for more!
What's great about it: great vocals, mezmarizing instrumentals
What's not so great: nothing!
