Fans of Disney's classic animated musical The Lion King who always wondered what the story would be like if it was told through the eyes of comic relievers Timon (Nathan Lane) and Pumbaa (Ernie Sabella) need wonder no more with the release of The Lion King 1~, a retelling of the 1994 film that puts the neurotic meerkat and flatulent warthog at the center of the action. Released straight-to-video, the film is presented in a loaded two-DVD edition. The first disc features the film itself along with seven deleted scenes and a game called "Hidden Mickey Hunt." The original English soundtrack is available in either DTS or Dolby Digital 5.1, and a dubbed French soundtrack has also been rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. The second disc includes a making-of featurette, a music video for "Grazing in the Grass" by Raven, a segment called "Timon: Behind the Legend," and three more games, including a Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? takeoff starring host Meredith Vieira.
