Andrew Davis' surprise hit family film, Holes makes its way to DVD for the first time with this release. The film is presented in a 1.85:1 widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio (a full-screen edition with the same features was released simultaneously) and features an English Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack and dubbed French and Spanish Dolby Digital 2.0 soundtracks. The bonus features include a gag reel, deleted scenes, a music video, a making-of featurette, and two feature-length audio commentary tracks, one by cast members Shia LaBeouf, Khleo Thomas, Jake M. Smith, and Max Kasch, and another by director Davis and screenwriter Louis Sachar.

This film is great for all ages, and is one of the few movies that does justice to the book (aka, it doesn't strip the book down into something much lower). Although the acting hired for this film isn't made out of top names, the acting is suprisingly holds integrity to the characters of the plot. The setting is realistic and as I imagined when reading the novel.

This album is pretty good, and offers a number of well known artists. The music is appropriate for the movie. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I feel the soundtrack to Transformers 2 is even better.

This soundtrack is even better than the first Transformers soundtrack. It brings new tracks from some of the most loved bands. Nearly all of the tracks have something to offer to the movie. I have to agree with the other review that track 13 is a disappointment compared to rest of the album.

Ryan Cabrera is a talented musician and this album is no let down. The tracks have a powerful feel to them and contain varied lyrics (so all of the songs aren't about the same thing). The acoustic track at the end is amazing.

This is a great album to listen to when in the car, or when winding down after a long day. Some tracks are relaxing, others are uplifting. Ryan is a great musician and should be applauded.

This album is great mix of sound between tracks with a rock feel and tracks with a soft ballad sound. The music is not the usual cheesy or easy-to-sound-overplayed American Idol music.

Mike Shinoda was always musical magic, and he still is. He is a fantastic rapper, singer (listen to In Between on Minutes to Midnight), keyboard player, and producer. He is also a respectable musician who didn't abandon his roots and bandmates in an effort to go solo, because he returend to Linkin Park as he stated he would. I admire his ability to explore other musical realms such as doing a non-Linkin Park album, and his loyalty to the amazing band of Linkin Park.
This album is very different from Linkin Park. However, it is catchy, upbeat, and honest in addition to having the Linkin Park vibe of bringing a new genre of music.
