I've been a Mario Kart fan since the release of Mario Kart Double Dash for the Nintendo Gamecube. I was very satisfied with that game. Then the DS version of Mario Kart came out and once again I was very satisfied. Now, I'm a huge fan of Mario Kart Wii. It's definitely the best Mario Kart game ever!!
THE GOOD:
Mario Kart Wii is a "pick it up and play" type game. You spend no time reading the instructions and more time playing the game. The new interactive controls are cool and easy to learn. Lastly, the online features allow you to race against random people from around the world, play against your friends, and compete in tournaments.

THE BAD:
Opponents may cheat during online races. This is the only negative of Mario Kart Wii. Occasionally you'll race against an opponent who has infinite items and/or warps ahead of you when they fall behind.

THE BOTTOM LINE:
If you enjoyed the old Mario Kart games from past Nintendo systems, then this is the perfect game for you and is worth the $50. Mario Kart Wii is one of the best Wii games out there and is suitable for anyone!!
