Wash more clothes at once with this high-efficiency washer. The delay-start function will start a load at the time you designate, freeing up your schedule to do other tasks. Samsung's exclusive Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) dramatically reduces vibration and noise commonly associated with front-load washers.

Shh! I can't hear the washer...

Seriously, this washer is very quiet.
Keep in mind that I have only owned this washer for all of 18-hours. However, I have managed to complete four loads of laundry and get 8 hours of sleep in that time. (I'll do more as soon as I find something else to wash; having been without a washer for three weeks you would think that a family of four would have more dirty laundry - this washer really holds a lot of clothes.)
I really am excited about this purchase.
Honestly, I nearly vetoed my husband's choice when I saw the price ($1,039.99 ON SALE - ouch!). Thus far, I must admit that he was right - this washer is worth the cost (if you can manage it).
The laundry comes out of the washer nearly dry! (That is on the next to fastest spin setting) Since we still have an old-school dryer this is a wonderful bonus; drying time is approx. 1/2 what it was with our old top-load washer. I have heard some cautionary tales regarding the noise made when the washer is spinning. However, we live in an upstairs apartment and have not had a problem thus far. Granted, I use the next to fastest spin.
One of my biggest concerns was the potential for mildew on the seal (a seemingly common problem with many front loaders). This Samsung model dries quickly if you leave the door open after your finished; the machine automatically powers down after the cycle is over (so, you're not wasting electricity).
This washer has a ton of cycles; my favorite feature is the "my cycle" option. You can easily use it to customize your load - the machine will remember your last "my cycle" setting; next time you just have to press the "my cycle button." The only thing better would be if you could enter multiple customized load setting (Samsung, if you're out there...).
Also, if you are apprehensive about using a high-tech washer, this machine may be for you. Its interface is extremely consumer friendly (you may not even have to read the instruction manual to figure it out).
I look forward to continuing to use this washer; will get back to you when I can speak to the reliability of this computerized machine.
Note: if you are accustomed to using a top-loader, then it may be a bit of an adjustment for you to stoop to load the washer - it is no worse than doing the same for the dryer; if it really is a problem for you then I recommend that you buy the pedestals.
What's great about it: very quiet, effiecient, large capacity
What's not so great: expensive
I would recommend this to a friend!
