I have used different labeling products over the past 10 years.
For design, the software is excellent, for print flexibility, it is only fair. It is incompatible with other label templates--it will only work with Memorex labels. It will not work with direct-to-disc printing.
Unfortunately--this is the brand being promoted by Best Buy and other retailers.
Even worse than the software is the label applicator. It is designed so that when the disc is pushed down, it will shift 3-5 degrees--so the labels will be consistently off-center.
I would advise a better alternative is to use printable discs and print the labels directly to the disc--unfortunately, there are only two manufacturers out there and Memorex' design software does not work with direct-to-disc printing.
This is a decidedly inferior product.
What's great about it: Software
What's not so great: Applicator puts labels on off-center
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Laptop or netbook?

I need a computer for school, and I was wondering which would be better a laptop or a netbook?
It depends. If flexibility in terms of applications is a priority, then I'd recommend the laptop. If portability is more of an issue, and screen image size is not, I'd lean towards the netbook.
The same $$ spent on either will yield faster CPU speed, more RAM, and more hard drive space on a laptop. In addition, the laptop will provide you with an optical drive if you want a more permanent form of data storage for things like class notes, papers.
The netbook will lack an optical drive and the only means for any type of permanent data storage will be to use a flash drive. So your cost for data storage is increased with a netbook since flash drives are more expensive than blank CD-Rs or DVD+/-R discs.
