My radar detector worked fine at first. I felt protected on the road and did not worry about its effectiveness. Then I got my speeding ticket. I saw the cop and thought to myself, "well, at lease he's not running radar" because my radar detector was not going off. Now, when I drive to work as the sun rises, my radar detector indicates laser every time I go from shade to direct sunlight. It has been 11 months and my radar detector is reading phantom lasers, missing real lasers and just frustrating me altogether. This $300 item is now worth almost nothing to me.
What's great about it: Easy to setup and use
What's not so great: Does not pick up all forms of laser, Misreads sunlight as laser
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
