Wash more clothes at once with this high-efficiency washer. The delay-start function will start a load at the time you designate, freeing up your schedule to do other tasks. Samsung's exclusive Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) dramatically reduces vibration and noise commonly associated with front-load washers.

DETERGENT DISPENSER A BUST
on August 20, 2009

I have called the Samsung call center twice now regarding the detergent dispenser on my washer. The detergent leaks out of the dispenser before the wash cycle begins. Both times the call center operators told me to use powdered detergent. First of all, after looking at many local retailers it was apparent that Powdered HE detergent was not readily available and when it was it was not on sale, secondly, the washer clearly indicates in the dispenser the option for using either powder OR liquid detergent and as a consumer I would have no reason to believe that liquid detergent would not be able to be used when reviewing the machine in the store prior to purchase, thirdly the manual indicates that either powder or liquid detergent may be used in the dispenser and provides instructions for doing so. After that recommendation, I was asked if I was using a “quality” HE detergent…THE manual does not specify that I would have to use a specific brand but gives examples of HE detergents that can be used. (The words “such as” was used-page 20). After being questioned further, i.e. blaming the problem on me using too much detergent, the first operator did nothing but tell me that Samsung had not come up with a solution to the problem. I called again today and went through the same drill with the second operator. Samsung obviously has a mechanical problem that they are not admitting to consumers. This problem could be easily fixed, for instance replacing the blue detergent selector with one that has a casket on the bottom that would allow it to grip the bottom of the detergent compartment to prevent the leaking of detergent OR manufacture a liquid detergent cup that the consumer snaps into place yet allows the detergent to be washed out when the washer dispenses water into the dispenser. I have also had the bleach dispenser problem as others.I am very frustrated by the response that I have gotten. I purchased both washer and dryer as well as pedestals. I have spent a lot of money on these appliances and would expect your washer to handle liquid detergent. The least Samsung could have done is readily admit the problem and arrange resolution….the operator today told me that this was something that only happens on some of the washers in this model number and that a service call should take care of the problem. We'll see...
What's not so great: DETERGENT AND BLEACH DISPENSER
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
