Beats Studio V2 (2013) Blue

This is my second Beats purchase. I also own a pair of urBeats ear buds. This was my first over the head headphones I have purchased. I decided on beats by borrowing my step-son's pair of Solo HD's he got for Xmas this year. I always heard Beats were very bass heavy. I listen to a range of music but mostly rock. I thought the solo's were pretty good, a little bass heavy for my taste but was impressed. I went to my local Best Buy and tried out multiple pairs of Beats. I was able to hook up my HTC One to a new pair of the Studio's. I was blown away! Great highs and mids were coming through. For a test song I played 'When the levy breaks" by Led Zeppelin. The song came alive and I could hear details I have never heard before. These things are loud too! I was sold right there and bought a pair. They are very comfortable too. I use them when I am on the phone as a microphone cable comes with them. The mic works well and I can hear the other person very well. The noise cancellation works well. There is a slight hiss sound when no music plays buys it goes away once a song comes on. The internal battery is nice, but if the headphones are not charged, they will not work. The battery states lasts 20 hours but I have not tested that. They do come with a wall charger plug and micro usb cable. I have also used my htc charger and it works fine too. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

What's not so great: High Price, glossy finish, will show some fingerprints, if the battery dies, headphones will not work
