I bought this UPS to replace an old Belkin unit that died and I've been extremely pleased with it.
The screen offers a lot of neat information like voltage input, wattage draw, and estimated battery time remaining that, while perhaps isn't strictly necessary, it is still useful to have that info available (especially the time remaining).
Aesthetically, this is probably the nicest looking UPS I've ever seen. Sure most people just stick their UPS under a desk and never look at it, but this one is sitting next to my desk and it looks great.
Functionally it seems fine. Tested the battery backup via unplugging and the transition from line to battery was smooth without my display flickering or any abnormality on the PC. Tested USB connection and the automated shutdown and that was able to shutdown my PC successfully.
Note that the master control power cutoff (which completely cuts power to secondary outlets when the power draw of the master outlet drops below a certain threshold) can be disabled - which is good. I'm not using that feature because I still want power going to all my secondary stuff when my PC is shutdown (e.g. because my modem takes a reeeeally long time to reset after a cold boot) - but I could see someone using it for something like a printer or speakers.
So it seems like a really good UPS and it's cheaper (MSRP at least) than the model it's replacing (BR1300LCD)
What's great about it: Screen is useful and it looks very nice
