Outstanding remote and a breeze to set-up

I bought this remote and set it up last night in 45 minutes of so. The reason it took so long is I have an older CD player that I wanted to be able to control with this device. When I first bought the CD player it did not come with a remote but this 700 makes it work as though it did; To program the remote and set-up macros is ver y, very easy. Just go to the webpage that they make available and tell them the equipment that you will be using. The program will search it out and the new remote will have all the functions like the one that came with it does. It was somewhat of a hassle to return the URC that I bought but they finally did let me exchange for this one. The only drawback is I paid $150 for the URC and it had been on sale recently and they gave me the sale price, It cost me $20 because of that but well worth since the original was a piece of junk. Here is the info on the URC.
Universal Remote Control - Digital Universal Remote - Black/Silver
Model: URC-R50 | SKU: 8993459
DO NOT BUY THE URC. IT IS A PIECE OF JUNK AND A WASTE OF MONEY. The 700 only controls 6 devices. The URC claims to control 18 but I could not get it to control even one.
What's great about it: Ease of set-up. Finds the latest software for the remote and your operating system. Got rid of 7 remotes.
What's not so great: Is a little pricey but got rid of the clutter that the remotes cause. This was a very good purchase. Would buy again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Confirming the specs of the Samsung LN40C630K1F

On the spec sheet for the LN40C630K1F it does not list an ethernet port or audio out. However, on the back side image for this model it clearly shows both an ethernet and audio out por. Which is correct?
Check the Samsung website and see what it says. If it does not have an answer call their tech service number that is on their webpage.

how do you wrap and store a 62" plasma TV when moving?

I bought from you a 62" plasma TV Samsung, I don't have the original box and I'm moving to another state. Can I buy a box to wrap it? Moving places only have up to 50" plasmas.
Wrap it securely in bubble wrap and then take cardboard and make your own box. Make sure and tell the movers that this is a plasma TV and for them to be extremely careful and also make sure that they move it in an upright position.

P.S. You did not buy it from me. I am an individual that is offering my expertise to you. I am not paid for my advise so use it as you see fit. I am sure that Best Buy takes no responsibility for what I or anyone else offers on this chat area.

Anyone had problems with the Dynex 32" LCD screen turning green?

Has anyone had any problems with Dynex 32" LCD TV.? The main issue we are having is trying to get the TV repaired. I have never had such a runaround with any manufacture before. When our RCA quit we were sent a voucher quickly once the repair tech determined what the problem was and what it costs to repair. With Dynex, we have had to constantly call to get answers to what was happening. Now after several weeks they want us to take our 32" TV to a repair shop 100 miles away round trip and leave for repair. I would not recommend the Best Buy Dynex TV to anyone. If it comes to warranty forget the service.
Since the TV is 32" and still under warranty they should be coming to the house to do the warrantly work. Most every TV sold today that is 32" or larger the TV manufacturer sends someone to the house to do the repair work. I would check the warranty paperwork that came with the TV and see if this is not something that is spelled out in the warranty and if it is take it into the store and demand that they live up with the details of the warranty.

help for a tv luddite

We have a 20+ year old Sony that does not die. We do not have cable. We have had poor luck with the digital converter box.

We would like a new moderately-priced TV that could work with our digital converter box. We may eventually have to re-mount a rooftop antenna or get basic cable.

Any recommendations on what kind and what brand of TV we should consider would be gratefully appreciated.

thanks
Get an Insignia TV from Best Buy. This is their house brand. They put their name on it and it is therefore a good TV. It also comes with a 2 year warranty which is the longest of any TV that they sell.

Which tv is the best fit?

we have to purchase flat screen tv
that will fit into casework with a width
of 47.5 inches. Height can be adjusted. What is the best tv we can
buy that would closely fit this opening?
On the spec page at Best Buy.com they list the dimensions of their TV's. The cards at the store that are placed under the TV's also show the dimensions of the TV's. Typically a 46 in TV will be 44-45 1/2" wide. The diameter measurement on a TV will typically be within 1-2 inches of the width. The width measurement being smaller. A 50" TV will have a width of 48-49 1/2. Your best bet is going to be a 46 in TV.

19' TV

Looking for 19" tv that I can hook up my dvd recorder.
Any TV should be capable of handling a DVD recorder. Just check the inputs on the DVD and the outputs on the TV. If they are compatable it will work.
