WOW! What a vacuum!

I just bought the vacuum after comparing the Dyson yellow & animal versions. For less than half the price I did really well. I first emptied the container and then vacuumed my floor with my dirt devil bagless. Then I assembled my new vac. with the three screws, it took a whole 5 minutes. I then vacuumed the same floors I had just vacuumed. The amount of sand and cat hair that it picked up amazed me. I thought the carpet was clean since I had just vacuumed it, I knew my other one sucked, but didn't realize how much until I tested it. I still am interested to see if the Dyson is better, but short of having my friend bring her's over, I don't think I will find out. I am so happy with the Bissel!
The only negative point is how the bucket is emptied. I do not like the dirt left in the top filter when you remove the cup. The dirt falls down onto the base if it is bumped and needs to be cleaned of with something else since the vac hose connects to the dirt cup. Over all, a great vac and the dirt left is small compared to what it picks up.
BUY IT, YOU WON"T BE SORRY!
What's great about it: The suction on this vacuum blew me away!
What's not so great: The dirt left in top filter of the machine when cup is removed to empty is bad.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Which vacuum is best for pet hair and not outragesouly expensive (i.e. Dyson)

The Bissel Pet Hair Eraser. IT IS GREAT. I used my Dirt Devil bagless vac and then put the Bissel together in about 5 minutes and then vacuumed my carpets again. I was surprised with what my other one did not pick up. Nasty is all I can say. The amount of sand that it picked up was amazing. I didn't know that was in my carpets.

What is the best vacumn cleaner to buy?

What is the best vacumn cleaner to buy?
Just got the Bissel for pets (bagless) and love the suction power. With a 10hp and a wide 15" beater brush coverage, it was the best pick I could have made. I did compare the Dyson and the Bissel, and the Shark, but decided on the Bissel. It was a great buy at $139 and has lots of features including an extremely long hose for cleaning drapes and steps (I don't have steps).

If you buy a factory reqbuilt Dyson vacuum does the manufacturer still back up a 5 year warranty

No, they only cover 6 months, but if you buy through Best Buy, you can buy an extended warranty. I checked it out before buying the Bissle for pet hair at $134 and am perfectly happy with the way it cleans and is 'self propelled' buy the beater brush.

Is there an extension you can buy that matches a standard outlet on a whirlpool dryer that has the big outlet cords?

I would try whirlpool manufacturer website or find an authorized sales store and try there. I got one from AAFES (military).

could I get a copy of a manual?

About a yr ago when I lived in Shreveport La, I ordered a Eureka enviro steamer. I never used it and I have since moved to San Antonio Tx.
Since I moved, I have lost the manual.
Could you get me a copy or print a copy and email it to me
I would go to the Eureka website and put in your model number. If this don't work, enter it into the google search and you should be able to find it.
