My vote for game of the year!

Truly the best game I've ever played and so much fun you'll want to play it over and over. Gears of War 2 is definitely worth the steep price for games these days.
What's great about it: EVERYTHING!
What's not so great: Couldn't find a multiplayer match after trying for about 20 minutes last night
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can my computer get a virus through xbox live?

I hooked up xbox live a couple months ago and a few days after i hooked it up, my computer's hard drive crashed because of a virus. Can it really happen, or was it just a coincidence
Sounds to me like coincidence as they're not really tied into one another and operate on two entirely different platforms.

What do I need to get for an Xbox 360?

I'm thinking of getting a 360 (Arcade), but if I do, what else would I need to get? I know that I would need a Hard Drive, but is there anything else needed, like any extra cables?
No, it comes with all the cables you'll need and really it just depends on how you'll be using your new xbox 360. If you want to play online, you'll probably want a headset, if you want to play with other friends at home, you'll want to get a second controller... those kinds of things will be what you may need to get more accessories for the xbox 360. But the great thing is you can buy it and always add more stuff later when necessary. Hope this helps.

What type of xbox 360 does he need?

My son has a PS2 and loves it! Now he wants an xbox 360 because it has more games. We're looking at the $199 console and the $299 console. What is the difference? He will not be playing "online" games or downloading anything. What about memory sticks -- does he need those? What is the red ring of death? He does leave his PS2 on (turns tv off), so that it will save his place on the games. Should I be watching for special deals since it is close to Christmas? I'm just really stupid when it comes to video games.
If he won't be playing online or downloading any games from the xbox live marketplace, I would say just go with the Arcade version. The good thing about the Arcarde version is you can always buy the parts that are needed individually later if necessary (like a hard drive, headset, etc.). So just start with the Arcarde and go from there is my suggestion. The red ring of death really only affected xbox 360's when they first came out... nothing to really worry about anymore (plus you're covered for 3 years if for some reason you did get the red ring of death). He will definitely love the xbox 360 though as it is the best game system right now. Hope this helps.
