Excellent introduction that puts you on the edge of your seat immediately.
I would of liked to have seen more about their early childhood adventures.
The film transitions to the main stars about 5 to 10 minutes too soon. Overall it is a very enjoyable experience. All of the characters are believable, especially the roles of Captain Kirk, Spock and Bones as cocky and younger versions. As a long time "Star Trek" fan, I totally accept this entire new cast and look forward to more films with them. The director J.J.
Abrams has certainly out done himself. I also am confident that these actors will improve in their performances. After all, who would not be just a little bit intimidated stepping into the exact same shoes of Icons whose work has remained popular for over 30 years?

What's great about it: Worthy of the franchise
What's not so great: Acting falls flat and emotionless towards end
I would recommend this to a friend!
