After a few hundred shots I have come to grips with buttons and menues. The focus is very fast and have supported me well when shooting sports. I have always been using Canon, but when my interest and time for photographing recently increased I've been looking for a better alternative to my Canon 40D. I have had my eyes on the Nikon 300 until I saw the spec of the new Canon 7D. I'm glad I waited for the 7D to be available and didn't go for the Nikon 300. The Canon 7D gives me the versatility to shoot sport, landscape and portrait. Since I´m travelling around the globe in my proffession I have found the camera to be a little on the heavy side, but this is easely forgiven with the results I get from the camera.
What's great about it: A very competent and versatile camera
What's not so great: On the heavy side with my big zoom
