The Gun Jammed On This 1...

COD Ghosts, high expextations but falls short on where it usually shines. The story is good, filled with some great set pieces as they usually are, but for me, online is lacking something.
First off, the game is lacking some serious firepower. I was so surprised with the lack of guns in this series. I was expecting so much more of a variety when it came to that. The character customization, while being an okay addition to the game, seems a little pointless (to me at least.) Granted, the different classes that you can choose from start you out with a different set of perks, that doesn't really make to much difference. It just makes you settle into your play-style a little quicker, but all the perks can be obtained with a little work.
My biggest point of anger comes from the maps and all the foolishness that happens on them: 1) There is no real sense of flow to the maps. Take the Black Ops I & II maps. You could always tell when the spawns were reversed on the maps now it's almost like your running around like a chicken with its head cut off looking for opponents. Which leads me to the next issue. 2) Spawning. opponents spawn right in back of you, or you end up spawning right next someone that just killed you. This is a major issue. PATCH IT QUICK.3) Leave the big maps and dynamic level changes to Battlefield. They do it much, much better. All you have done is turn this game into a campers delight. Can't camp when there are tanks and explosives coming to tear down your cover.
Bottom line, the game makes an attempt to re-invent itself with a few new innovations, ideas, and a good story but still falls short in an area where it usually does pretty well. I'd rather play Battlefield 4 or Black Ops II online anyday...
What's great about it: The story is good...
What's not so great: Online

Strap up the boots and put on your shades as you step into the role of the King of Shooters. His name is Duke Nukem, the legendary hero who shook up the gaming world while chasing babes, chugging beers and smoking cigars, and when he's serious about something, no one can get in his way. Over the years, Duke has been kicking back and franchising himself on the fame he earned after saving Earth the first time. When the horde of invading aliens return, they begin stealing Earth's women, drinking all of Duke's beer and are slowly destroying Duke's gambling haven and franchise chains ~ this won't stand. It's time for everyone's favorite irreverent gunslinger to make a massive comeback and save the world again ~ his way.Return to the glory days, when shooter games meant outrageously big enemies and even bigger weapons, in Duke Nukem Forever. Kick some major alien butt ~ and take names ~ as you blast away enemies, evade alien shrink rays and battle giant bosses. Since no one, especially Duke Nukem, likes a workaholic, enjoy some chill time as the King, taking in some typical leisure activities like shooting hoops, lifting weights, reading adult magazines and ogling lovely women. Enjoy the stream of hilarious one-liners that Duke says throughout the game. Never tire of the endless fun with explosive first-person shooter action, bizarre settings, driving and puzzle solving. Compete in explosive multiplayer action with classic modes that let you shrink your opponent and squash them with your foot, freeze and shatter them, attach explosives to their back and more. Don't be another hero ~ be a bad guy-busting King with a serious 'tude. Forever is here ~ and the shades and the legend live on.

Mortal Kombat is Back...Finish Him.!!!!!!!

As a fighting game fan I must say this, I was never a big MK Fan. I liked MK 2 & 3 (REMEMBER THE RUN BUTTON...LOL), but after that it just got really stale. The series was given life by Shaolin Monks, not even a fighting game, but then taken back by the PG-13 MK vs. DC. But enough about the back story of MK, lets focus on this gem of a game.
For starters let’s talk about the overall look and presentation overhaul. The visuals in this game are absolutely stunning, from level design to character models. During fights your character actually receives progressive body damage...from cuts, gashes, chunks of flesh missing, etc.
The biggest presentation change is how they bring the story across. First off, don't think about traditional fighting game storylines that really serve no purpose to the game. This story is a lengthy, well thought out dive into the world of MK. The way the story is told, new to the franchise players will love it, and old MK vets (such as myself) will be well pleased, you may even have an "Oh $#!^" moment...I know I did..lol.! All throughout the story mode the game transitions from cutscene to fight and back so seamlessly..a touch I love when games get right, *Casltevania*.
Speaking of fighting let me touch on that a bit. The fighting engine seems to be a mix of classic MK and trends from new age fighters. Of course they have all the traditional MK basics...sweep, uppercut, and classic special moves, but now they have added the ability 2 do custom combos. You can now juggle & bounce your opponent all over the stage... a la the Tekken series. Plus they now have the option of EX-ing all of the characters special moves, a la Street Fighter. And the last new addition to the fighting engine is the addition of Special Super -Type move that show the Deep Impact of the attack. Some of these are pretty Bad @$$.
As far as the replay value for this game, it's extremely high. There is so much stuff 2 unlock...yes folks, the krypt is back. You spend coins that you earn from the various game modes, in the krypt 2 buy fatalities, costumes, concept art, etc.
In the end, this is (my opinion) the best fighter out right now. Tons of characters+great visuals+killer story+high replay value=1 heluva Fighter..!!!!
What's great about it: New Look, New Feel, New Everything
What's not so great: Wish it was just a tad bit faster

SynopsisOne can't help but wonder if Andrew Gardner realized the implications of what he was about to create when he developed the Mind Wave technology. It may have been made into a technological advancement by Nerkas Solutions, but Gardner started it all. As the world's governments collapse and new corrupt powers arise, one has to wonder ~ did Gardner know the technology he developed to contribute to the advancements of mankind could ultimately destroy the very core of humanity? As conspiracies proliferate, join a rogue team of agents that are fighting for survival and getting further entangled in the mysterious truth behind the technology. Use Mind Wave technology to hack enemies, vehicles and civilians equipped with the Nerkas Solutions headsets to control their actions for your own ends. When trouble is brewing, use Mind Slave to misrepresent the temporal and occipital brain functions of a slaved individual and use their perception of allies as enemies and increased aggression to your advantage. Take the solo campaign online with seamless integration into cooperative play. With the ability to control almost any character, your only limitation is your state of mind.

Waste of time...brought it back the next day...

MindJack is one game you shouldn't blink your eyes at twice. The game has a good concept...you are a soldier with the ability to use what is called mind wave tech to hack into other people's mind and control them. Having this power would obviously be good in battle right. control some random NPC(non-playable character) right next to an enemy, take them out, or even take control of the enemy themself...but here is the problem with the game.
Lets start with some minor details. All the NPC's are scattered all over the level cowering in some corner. The minute you mind jack them, they get up with some machine gun or handgun that they pull out of thin air. My thoughts on that if you had a gun and all this gunfire is going on around you why do you need a random person to hack your mind b4 you start shooting. Nice thought just not brought over well by the developers...just an opinion.
And speaking of gunfire the levels seem to be over populated with enemies. I know it's a shooter but less is more sometimes. It's like the enemies just keep coming, and coming, and comi..you get the point. With all these enemies coming at you the responsiveness of the game should follow suit...but it doesn't. The game is WAY 2 stiff.
Another thing that was bad was the presentaion of the story. It goes small dialogue btwn main character and partner, over-excessive gun battle and repeat. I'd say the best part of the game was one early cutscene where you main character took out this guy that the person he was tailing was talking 2.
Bottom line...don't waste your $60, please...i'm trying to help you.
What's great about it: Good concept for a game...but..
What's not so great: Everything else..(my opinion)

AC Brotherhood...let me start by apologizing. I didn't pick this game up earlier b/c of my past expierence with the first 2 AC's. Don't get me wrong they were great games...i just couldn't get into them...but for some reason this one feels..."right."
The game itself seems to have stepped it up a notch...from the combat, presentation, the free running, everything. The combat seem faster and alot more fluid. My favorite part of the combat is the kill streaks. When you kill an enemy while fighting in a group you can easily trasition 2 the next enemy for an instant kill...Nice.!! The graphics this time around seem extra sharp. Ezio's armor looks sick. The free running just seems to be smoother overall.
What really made me pick this one up though is the online play. I was really curious to see how they would pull off a multiplayer expirence with this type of game...and to my surprise it is truly addictive. What they do is you get a certain "contract" to kill another person who is controled by another live person. Your goal is to assassinate your target as stealthy as you can. The quieter the kill the more points you will get. Run after your target and you will have 2 chase them down. The kicker is this though...as you're hunting down others, other players are hunting you for the kill. If your in the lead the more people will be on your tail. They have team based stuff as well but i haven't tried those as yet. They have kill streaks and perks too...sounds funny when ur not talking about a shooter...lol.
All in all this was one of the best games of 2010...so pick it up it wont disappoint..!!
What's great about it: Just about everything...love the online play
What's not so great: Minor, very minor graphic glitches...

It's a heart-stopping Hot Pursuit and your life's in danger at every moment. But you can't slow down now ~ freedom is just a few maneuvers away, and you have just one concern: the Need for Speed. You've raced before, but you've never been in a chase like Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. This time, you can experience both the thrill of the chase and the rush of the escape all in one day as you get behind the wheel as both a cop and a law-breaking racer. Let The Rivalries Begin..!!

Need For Speed has finally returned to what has made it the a front-runner in the racing genre...and that's the high speed chases with those relentless police. Speed and a few new gadgets(only in certain races) are at your disposal to put distance between you and the other racers/cops. Driving recklessly; near misses, driving on the wrong side of the road, takedows(cop/driver), keep the Nos meter filled so you can keep that lead...ala Burnout. Now if being the lawless speed demon isn't your thing, don't worry you too can be the copper and go bust you some racers(all cop weapons included.)
What i really love about NFS though...is the autolog. It's like facebook in a game. With this you can keep up with your friends performance, see what times of your they have beaten and try to take them back, post pictures of your favorite car, and most of all trash talk when you've beaten your friends times. So not only are you trying to finish 1st in every race but take all your friends times while your at it...just adds another level of competion.
Bottom line NFS is a great racing title...Fun, speed, runnig from the boys...it gets no better..!!
What's great about it: Just about everything...especially the autolog
What's not so great: No car customization

I don't know where to begin but i will say this...the force is not as strong as it should be with this one. I mean...they did a few things right, (mostly the cinematics) BUT everything else just seems half stepped. The level design is cool but there seems to be "no energy" in them. The combat has it's moments, but falls way short when compared to other games in its genre. (Crushing tie fighters & the Jedi mind trick are cool though). IDK what else to say...i guess fans of the series could give it a try but then again even they might get disappointed, otherwise like the other reviewers suggest rent b4 you buy or wait until the price drops...DON'T WASTE YOUR $60 ON THIS.!!!

What's not so great: Camera, Lack of effort (my opinion)

Monkey See...Monkey Do.!!

We have another good action/beat-em up title on ours hands with this one folks. Enslaved takes you on an epic journey across a post apocalyptic New York riddled with war machines to find freedom.
You start your journey escaping the slaver's ship..(with your partner Trip) that held you both captive. This level serves as a tutorial of sorts but as soon as you get off the ship the fun really begins. The combat is pretty straight forward...its not really that deep, although they have an upgrade system to it doesn't add that much to the hand to hand combat. Monkey's weapon (his staff) can shoot plasma and shock bullets at enemies, which gives you a needed advantage in some battle situations. So eventhough there may not be an extensive combo system the combat is still fun...plus the takedowns are pretty cool too. Your partner Trip helps out too. She scans the areas for traps, enemies and alternate paths, and she can distract enemies so you can sneak by and get the drop on them...which is pretty useful.
Another cool part of the game is the platforming. Monkey's movements are really, really cool. He can effortlessly run along ledges, jump gaps...etc. He also has this thing that's called the "Cloud." It's like a little hover board that monkey rides around on that can help him in certain spots on the board. Pretty much the environment is his playground.
Bottom Line...this is a great game and worth the money...pick it up.
What's great about it: Graphics, Story, The platforming
What's not so great: IDK...the games not perfect but i can't really tell

The smell of trash assails you as you vault over a low dividing wall and right into a pile of refuse. You stand up in disgust but immediately trot down the dank alley before you; there isn't a second to lose in this desperate flight for your life. Your partner silently shadows you as you stalk to the next street. He may be an impulsive psychopath, but right now you have bigger problems. Your pursuers won't be long before they, too, are knee-deep in trash, but every escape holds a possible enemy. You scan the street, assess the possibilities and start to step out of the alley, prepared to casually blend in with the scurrying pedestrians. Just before your foot hits the pavement, your eyes lock onto the crisp uniform of the Shanghai police force bobbing through the crowd straight in your direction. You turn to vault back over the alley wall but hear the shouting voices of your pursuers on the other side. It seems that escape is impossible; how will you get out of this impossible situation?Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days takes you on a heart-pumping journey through the streets of Shanghai. Play as the psychopathic Lynch or the ex-mercenary Kane as you evade your pursuers and jump, run and fight your way through seedy streets and gritty rooftops. Take on the underworld in this brutal crime shooter but keep an eye on your partner, you never know if he'll snap. Fragile alliance multiplayer mode, arcade modes, single player, online and offline co-op modes offer plenty of opportunities to test your shooting skills as you side with these two unhinged criminals.

Kane and Lynch are back and are in deeper $#!* than ever. This time around you play as Lynch..(single player) who lives in Shanghai. Kane shows up for what is supposed to be their last job. Before they even get to the job something goes completely wrong and without giving up story plots, lets just say the $#!* really hitz the fan.
This is one of the most challenging shooters out there right now. The gun-fights are hectic and the AI isn't slow either. For starters Kane is a good shot. He will clean up a few of the guys you miss even take some out before you do. The enemy is pretty smart too...given the chance they will flank you and do seriuos damage. Forget about the online...its absolutely garbage, and that's all i'll say about that. Playing the game with two players is absolutely a blast...ala the 2nd. Army of 2 game. So the bottom line is this...it's a great campaign game especially with 2 live players, and stay away from the bad online play...
What's great about it: Story, action, and the helicopter level..you'll see when u get there.
What's not so great: The online gaming...
