This worked very well for me. I needed a serial cable to configure some Cisco routers and switches via the console port and this worked perfectly. I installed the drivers for my Macbook by going to the website listed in the manual and had no problems. I also plugged it into a raspberry pi (running raspbian Linux) and it didn't require any additional drivers. I used minicom to access the Cisco CLI (minicom -s, set speed to 9600, 8N1, disable flow control, save), booted the switch or router and I got to the command line. Very nice.
My Best Buy number: 2030996742
What's great about it: Easy to obtain drivers, no problems so far.
What's not so great: Could be a little less expensive, and maybe a longer cable.

Don't believe the hype on this one -- sure the single player game starts out with a huge wow factor, but that ends in a few hours of play, and then you only have the online game left, which is my main complaint. The online game is not anywhere near as good as the first one. No tanks or vehicles of any kind, no good perks, the weapons are essentially the same as MW1, and the lag on PS3 network is totally horrendous (you get killed with what seems like one shot and then see the replay where the guy that shot you takes his sweet time aiming and firing multiple shots that you never got to see until its too late). Never again with Infinity Ward and never again with Sony. Save your money for a decent game. I'm very sick of these overrated games -- something must be done to prevent the game lobbyists from tainting the ratings. Here's my vote.
What's great about it: The first few hours of single player mode.
This adapter cable is designed for easy plug-and-play connection of a device with a serial port to a device with a USB port.
Will there be a linux driver?
Driver is built in to the linux kernel on most newer distros. It worked for me using a raspberry pi (running raspbian, which is a version of Debian, which is what Ubuntu is based on).

Do I need some special app or driver to conect this USB/Serial adapter with a Mac ?
I want to communicate a MacBook Pro (OS X 10.9 (13A603)) with another divice by serial port, but I need to know if this USB/Serial adapter can do this? Thanks
It worked well for me with OS X 10.9 on my Macbook pro (late 2011 model). Download the driver from their website (have to allow it in the security settings in system prefs). Then you need a program that will use it to communicate, which is often the more tricky part.
