Joss Whedon attempted to follow up his successful series Buffy the Vampire Slayer with the science fiction-themed Firefly. Although the series failed to garner a mass audience, it did have a loyal following. Those fans will be pleased by this box set that contains every episode of the series that aired, as well as three never-before-seen episodes. All 15 episodes are presented in anamorphic widescreen. English, French, and Spanish soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. Commentaries are available on four of the episodes. Production featurettes, a blooper reel, and a tour of the set with Whedon round out this solid package that should be of interest to genre enthusiasts as well as Whedon's fans.

Firelty... BRING IT BACK
on January 25, 2010

We were always Firefly fans, and were sad when the corporate heads, (I think they are at NBC now), discontinued the series. Joss Whedon created a smart sci-fi like he always does. There was not a lot of blood, gore and social promiscuity, but the each episode made you think. It was a great series in which to escape. Anyone who loved the series will love these DVDs.
What's great about it: Serenity, Malcomb Reynolds, Kaylee, and the Crew....
What's not so great: NOT a single thing !
I would recommend this to a friend!

Verbatim seems to always work...

In the past I have used a variety of Verbatim products, from the 8" magnetic media disks, (way back when), to a current 8 gig flash drive. I have used their optical CD and DVD media in about 6 different computers with no "coasters" yet. I have played the recorded disks in CD players and in DVD players, and they always seem to work just fine. The website "DigitalFAQ.com" rates this Verbatim optical media as "1st Class Media", (http://www.digitalfaq.com/reviews/dvd-media.htm).
What's great about it: Seems to work fine in a variety of electronics...
What's not so great: Nothing I can find
I would recommend this to a friend!
