This Hoover SteamVac features a SpinScrub multiple brush system for outstanding cleaning performance. The translucent tank makes it easy to view water levels.

a good vaccum cleaner indeed

I selected the SteamVac due to its highest positive online review. Generally speaking, it is a nice cleaner, though It should not be called steam vac, as you have to add hot water by yourself, and the unit wont boil the water to steam for you.
Pros: easy to use, moisture trace can be seen from the top surface of the water tank while you clean, you can easily judge where to apply more dry strokes (suction only) and how wet your carpet remains.
Cons: 1. when I first assembled it, I suspected I got a refurbished one. There was a scratch on the front surface covered by a piece of big black tape. The workmanship of some parts look rough. Anyway it is used as a cleaner, so I kept it.
2. My first application is to deoder. I did not find such a brand from Hoover. So I bough other brands of solution, When hot water is added, too much foam was generated in the dirty water tank that caused the floater to choke the airflow and automatically terminate the wet cycle. The floater is designed to do so only when the tank is almost full. You have to dump the dirty water more frequently to avoid the false "tank full" protection.
3. The hose has a notch interface to connect to vaccum source. When not used, it is supposed to hook on the back of the unit. Unfortunately, it gets loose from the hook very easily. The hook is litterally a peg, not a hook.
4. Remember to put the cover back onto the clean water tank each time you refill the solution. It works without the cover, but when you dump the dirty water tank you have to lay the handle flat on floor, the clean water tank attached on it may spill and mess up your carpet without the cover on.
4. the unit is for carpet only, for hard floor, you need order extra parts online.
What's great about it: easy to use, very clean, moisture trace seen on the fly
What's not so great: foam can interrupt cleaning very often, hose head (notch end) east to drop from hook
I would recommend this to a friend!

How to measure to see what size washer and dryer I have already

How can you measure to see size washer and dryer? D X W X 3.14 ?
If your washer or dryer have an irregular shape, measure like this:
prepare a thin thread, hang something on one end, say a pen, and lift the other end to measure. This is called a plumb line. Pin the line on the wall, and observe from the other side of your washer. Move the line until the line is tangent to the outermost outline of one side of your washer and mark the location of the line on the wall or somewhere. When all sides are measured, measure the distance between the lines and you get the dimensions. For example, the front side, the door knob is extruded outermost, the line should just touch the knob surface.

If you want to exactly measure it without professional tools, make more plumb lines, or even with a stand to hang the plumb lines, or use a couple of carton boards. Cross check dimensions from the lines to avoid a parallelogram effect.
