This installment of the Harry Potter series sees the characters mature, both good and bad. There are several romantic twists, as Ron and Hermione sort through their feelings, and Harry has an internal battle about his best friend's sister (Ginny). Voldermort is wreaking havoc and Harry is convinced Malfoy is up to something sinister.
If you don't know the story, you will be shocked at the surprise ending, but the story loses a lot of continuity since it is not practical to include all of the details from the book. This is a much darker movie than the light-hearted early episodes, but it brings us even closer to the climax of the final book (The Deathly Hallows will be split into two movies to try to solve this problem).
Harry Potter fans will be pleased with the movie, but casual viewers might not be able to follow it very well.
What's great about it: Effects, characters
What's not so great: Story is difficult to follow if you didn't read the book; Too much left out.
