Grrrreat Album!

I made sure that when September 29, 2009 came around, that I would get this album. I was pretty hooked when "Obsessed" was on the radio and was eagerly anticipating when this CD would come out. As a true Mariah fan, I do love this album. However, I think that some of the songs don't sound like they would even come from someone like her. Don't get me wrong, I like them all. Songs like "Betcha Gon Know", "Standing O" and "It's A Wrap" don't sound like "her songs". For instance, I can compare "Candy Bling" to a song like "Always Be My Baby" or "Angels Cry" to "We Belong Together". Again, I love this album, but don't necessarily agree with who she worked with (The Dream) or some of the songs that were chosen for the album.
What's great about it: A lot of songs!
What's not so great: doesn't sound like Mariah the whole time
I would recommend this to a friend!

THIS ALBUM WAS TREATED UNFAIRLY!

I think a lot of people believe that since the movie 'Glitter' bombed, that the album was just as bad. This is NOT true. Mariah dives into 80s music on this soundtrack/album. Don't be fooled into thinking this is a "bomb". It has been certified "platinum", and the songs are personal and raw. One of my favorite Mariah albums!
What's great about it: songs, lyrics, flow
What's not so great: nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!

An overall great album!

This was actually the 1st Mariah album I've ever bought. Touch My Body is definitely a standout on the album. I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time is another great track. Not her best album, but you will have fun listening to it!
What's great about it: beats, flow
What's not so great: nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!
