I love my new washing machine. It has cut my laundry time in half. My water and electric bill has decreased. I have a dog in the house so I'm constantly washing blankets, linens and towels and with this machine everything comes out clean and sanitized. The spin on this machine is fast and the clothes come out almost dry. I bought the dryer as well and it hardly has to run as long because the closthes are not wet...they are just damp and dry quickly.
I had it delivered and the delivery men were very nice, polite and efficent. The machines my be a little pricey but they are worth the money for what they do and they look excellent.
What's great about it: Uses less water, gentle on clothing, wrings out clothes 10 times better, easy to use
What's not so great: None
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do clothes smell after washing??
I have another brand front washer and the clothes smell moldy after washing them. There is mold in the washer that I can not get rid of.
No mine doesn't. With the silver care that takes care of any mold or bateria build up. You can also buy a solution from best buy to clean the machine and get rid of the mold. Also, the best thing is to leave your washing machine door open so it can dry and opent the dispenser too.

How many gallons of water does it take to wash a load of laundry?
An old top load takes 8 gallons of water and a front load takes only about 2 to 4 I believe.

I haven't had a problem with my septic tank. I just use Ridex monthly and I think that will take care of any problems.

How long does it take to complete a cycle?
I depends on what you are washing and the settings you are using. It normally takes about 45 minutes to an hour.

Detergent Dispensing Issue
I just purchased this set this weekend at Best Buy and it will be delivered tomorrow. How would I know if it has the newer dispenser unit? I would think there may be some older units in the warehouse and it's possible to still receive one with this problem.
Also, do High Efficiency detergents only come in a liquid and is it the best option to use (if other typse are available)? I want to make sure I start out caring for and using this machine properly.

I'm not sure about the dispenser...I would take out the drawer and look and see if there is soap residue. I only use the liquid...I think it works the best.

Can the door on the WF448AAP washer be reversed, and if not what is the reasoning behind that?
No it can't. The reason is the seal...its a tight seal and you don't want to mess with it and end up causing a leak.
