This adapter featuring copper contacts converts DVI-I video signals into VGA analog.

I was trying to hook up an old monitor to my new computer for dual monitors. It turns out the male dvi port on the adapter does not fit in my dvi port. It has extra pins that I have never seen used on a dvi monitor that do not have corresponding holes on my computers dvi port. I checked a coworkers older computer, it's port has a spot for the extra pins, but she doesn't need the extra monitor.
What's great about it: Would do the job on my coworkers computer
What's not so great: Doesn't work on my computer
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
