What does the American Dream mean today? For Niko Bellic, fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and are dragged into a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream. In a city that worships money and status, life is heaven for those who prosper and a living nightmare for those who don't. Developed by the superstar designers at Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto IV continues the exciting legacy of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.

Well, what can I say? GTA IV is essential to everyone's game collection. Me and my friend love to play this game, and infact, every time he comes over to my house he absolutely has to play the game. Both of us are able to sit infront of the television for hours just playing non-stop.
The overall gameplay is a breeze and keeps you occupied for hours on end, the new drive-by system and shooting configuration is a huge improvement over San Andreas, and the storyline hooks you with developed characters that make you love or regret certain pieces of the storyline.
There are a few things that made the game a little empty though. I feel the storyline was rushed a bit too much. There aren't many "legal" things to keep you entertained and actively playing.
The city seems to have a big hole in it as well. Being a New York City fan, I was hoping to see more specifics of the Broker-Dukes [Brooklyn-Queens] area; especially older neighborhoods like Bed-Stuy and Williamsburg; as well as more of suburban Queens. It seemed they chose to develop the Algonquin [Mahnattan] area though; much to my discontent.
But, I digress. While Liberty City didn't impress me much, the shooting system did. It was a pain on San Andreas to have to constantly crouch, roll and aim. The NPCs in San Andreas [non-player characters] were so static as well, and did not have dynamic shooting abilities or the nature to take cover. This was definately well improved in IV.
Once you start to play the game, you notice the graphics are well improved over San Andreas. The vehicles are much more detailed and accurate to their real life counterparts as well. Many great examples include the Emperor [De Ville], Coquette [Corvette], and Speedo [Astro Van]. The cartoony, off-sync cars are now replaced with accurately spawning, slow-moving traffic. Where cars are parked and where they drive is much improved; deterring the constant eyesore of every other vehicle being a lowrider or a low-rate sports car that was in San Andreas and Vice City.
Overall, GTA IV, even being released two years ago, is a look at what video games will present far in the future on late seventh and early eighth generation consoles. Besides the soon expected release of Mafia 2, I truly don't believe that any other game in this genre will surpass GTA IV in quality unless built on the same game engine by the same company.
What's great about it: Great graphics, good gameplay, controller configuration, SixAxis
What's not so great: Story should have been longer, Liberty City seems lacking, multiplayer isn't very player-friendly
I would recommend this to a friend!

I recently bought a Toshiba A505 with a 2.2GHz dual core processor, will games like Call of Duty Modern Warfare play on it?

I've looked at the specification sheet, and anything under the $899 model most likely won't unless a new graphics card is installed, which I am not sure is possible on laptops.

I've come across a good website a while back that I use constantly to check my system to the requirements of such games. Due to guidelines I am not allowed to give a specific URL, but google 'System Requirements Lab' and it will test your system and give you results based on your computer's performance.

GAMES FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE

WHAT COMPUTER GAMES ARE RECOMENDED FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE? AN 80 YEARS OLD PERSON NEEDS TO KEEP HIS/HER MIND BUSY. NEEDS TO BE EASY COMPUTER GAMES.
There aren't really many PC games for the elderly audiences, as they are often directed to the modern teenage market. There are a few, like Sims 2 and SimCity 4; which are very casual games when used without custom content and can be played on specific levels of difficulty. I can't think of others that I would specifically recommend.

I would suggest getting a Wii or DS, both made by Nintendo. The DS is handheld, easy to use, and features many mental Brain Training games; but the Wii is good for keeping physically active without straining to streneuous excersize.

In my opinion, the DS would be the best bet, because it is more of a cognitive system. If the person you plan to buy for is in good shape and hopes to stay that way, the Wii would make a great buy for them, especially if family visits often.

It all depends on who the person who will be playing the games are. If they are a heavy thinker or a puzzle game fan; the DS is good. If they like to stay in shape and have fun at the same time, the Wii is good. If they just need a few casual video games to keep them busy during the day, Sims 2 and SimCity 4 are a good look into simple presentation of virtual reality and are very time-consuming games.
