Bought two of these. Thought the first one was simply defective. But the second one proved to be a problem too. The idea behind this product is cool, if it actually worked! On my first one, the base for the Ipod did not work at all. On the second one, the signal transmitted to the mirror/speakers was botchy at best. Don't waste your time/money on this product.
What's great about it: Great concept
What's not so great: Doesn't transmit clearly
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
