Put your favorite tunes at your fingertips when you get behind the wheel with this FM transmitter that allows you to play music from your iPod or iPhone through your car stereo system.

Horrible reception

I have an otterbox on my iphone and the plug doesn't fit through the bottom without having to force it in there. The reception is at best terrible. I am going to take this back to Best Buy tomorrow and try a different method of connecting to my vehicle. My best suggestion for anyone in a larger city with many stations, find an alternative to hooking up your ipod/phone through your car stereo. I think that the carrier signal coming out of this unit is way too weak to properly be picked up by a cars antenna. Additionally, I would like to know where the transmitter is located on the unit. I thought that it was in the in-line selector, but after fumbling around with it for a while, I think it may actually be in the plug that attaches to the phone. I found this out by placing my phone up on top of the visor and the signal getting a little clearer. I am not sure why the company would put it there, doesn't seem like a very well planned out piece.
What's great about it: The idea.
What's not so great: The plug is fatter than the one for my iphone so it doesn't fit right through my case, very, very poor reception.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am looking for a ipod case to use my iPod for swimming
There is a case on the apple site that has mixed reviews. Most people though seemed to be pretty impressed. The name of the case is called H2O Audio Surge Waterproof Headphones/Amphibx Waterproof Armband (Medium) Combo. It is expensive though, about $130. Hope that helps.
