Excellent overall VOIP

The installation was simple. The VOIP quality is excellent as good as good as a standard line. No static, no lag even when other computers are online such as game playing. My calls to land lines or cellular phones have all been excellent. The inexpensive premium service is a very nice add on feature. I contacted support to test them out and I had a very good experience with them. Its a great way to save money without having to sacrifice quality. The unit is well designed and attractive.
What's great about it: Easy set up, good price, good service.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So, an upgrade to the Apple TV was needed, however not adding 4K streaming was a big mistake. The new remote is OK, not great. Televisions, Roku and Tivo can stream in 4K, why not the new and improved Apple TV? At a price point of $149 to start it should, but unfortunately it does not! After careful consideration this item was returned. Maybe when Apple gets around to adding 4K streaming I will be an owner of an Apple TV again! If you want an Apple TV, buy the original and save yourself $80, you won't be disappointed.

your reason to return this device over 4K is really poor. The new apple tv is a significant upgrade. The availability of 4K content on the market is extremely poor. 4K technology may become obsolete by the time main stream accepts a new technology. For example, 3D Televisions have not made it. There were individuals who purchased 3d Tv, LCD, LED tvs, so early that they need to purchase newer models to get the better features. 4K technology is going to need the cable companies on board because it is going to substantially cost more just to get enough bandwidth per household. Cable companies have already complained about the bandwidth demand as a result of video streaming providers. There has been throttling reports, doing away with unlimited internet and coming up with a new payment structure.

When Apple launched the product they made it known that the apps were in progress. They provided the tools for the designers. The apple apps will come quickly because there is such a high demand for apple products. Even without the apps it is still a substantial upgrade. Be realistic Apple TV provides an integrated platform for their devices. One very major point that Apple TV has over all its competitors is that they allow Apple users to download their purchased content Movies, music, etc. Therefore, you always have a copy of what you bought and you can use your purchases without an internet connection.

Is there a way to use your mobile phone number on your home handsets if I cancel home phone service?
The way you could do it is to get a VOIP such as ooma and forward your cell to it when your at home. Newer technology is coming that will permit cell users to take advantage of home network VOIP.

Dect 6.0 has an excellent range. I have my base unit in the basement and I have no problem talking from the backyard

Is there a phone that logs both incoming and outgoing calls?
Ooma members have a log feature online in which they can access.

How do I determine that a phone is digital?
I have a digital telephone line into my desk. How do I determine that a phone will work. I bought a Verizon DECT 6.0 Digital Technolgy phone, but it does not work.
Today's telehones will work with Ooma. You just can not use old technology such as rotary or pulse. I use five wireless Dect 6.0 handsets and one ooma's phone without any problems what so ever.
