I really struggled in deciding whether to get the Bose Companion 3 system, the Bose SoundDock Series II, the Klipsch iGroove SXT, or the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 system. I don't have an iPod, but the iPod systems work great for my laptop setup. I currently have the older Klipsch iGroove HG iPod system which when hooked up with a subwoofer has been the best sounding small system I have ever heard - bar none (heavy duty use for over 2 years now). I am setting up a location in another town and don't want to transport anything besides my laptop so I need to buy another system, but I found out the old Klipsch iGroove isn't sold in the US anymore. After listening to all the systems in the store, I was undecided which system I liked best - my decision to purchase was finally based on the fact that since I don't have an iPod, and since the system choice was difficult based on sound quality (at least in the store), there was no need to pay for technology that I wasn't going to use so I bought the Klipsch Pro-Media system as it is designed specifically for computers. I am sitting in my office listening to the system, and I am absolutely amazed at how good it sounds. If your primary objective is sound quality - something you can listen to for hours on end without listening fatigue - you cannot go wrong with this system.
What's great about it: The sound is awesome!
What's not so great: I wish the power switch was on the satellite speaker rather than the subwoofer.
