I know this product is advertised as a "computer audio system," but I was so thoroughly impressed with its sound quality and volume that I purchased it as a replacement to the shelf stereo system I was using in my living room. I got it home, set it up and ran my iPod through it, and wow - my living room sounded like a dance club! You can't even imagine the level of volume and bass this thing has until you try it out within the acoustics of a room. The bass is extremely deep and smooth with no distortion. Unlike a lot of these 2.1 systems, this unit has loud, clear mids, and the highs are brilliant and detailed. I can't believe how awesome this set is, and I've been suggesting it to my friends and coworkers all day because I'm so blown away. When I was at the store, I did my usual test: I turned the subwoofer all the way down and just listened to the satellites. Try this with a few lower-quality units and you'll notice the lack of clarity and volume. Try it with the Klipsch and it still sounds great! Even the satellites have a small amount of thump to them and would be suitable speakers on their own, and that, to me, is what sets this apart from the others. Then mix in some of that rich subwoofer bass and you've got raw power. Whether you want new computer speakers or replacement to that early '00s shelf system, Buy this set!
What's great about it: Rich, deep bass, sonic detail and clarity, solid construction, attractive apperance and sheer volume
What's not so great: No major complaints. I wish it had inputs for a TV, but that can be achieved with a simple adapter.
