with windows media center you can use more than 1 so I can record one show and watch another, or record 2 shows at once. Remote is small and the buttons stick I little.
What's great about it: has a/v inputs and a remote, truly plug and play (windows 7)
What's not so great: remote sucks
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do you have computers with braille on the keys for blind people?
I don't know where to get it, but you just need a keyboard to plug into any existing pc.

Is there a reader that can be used to read the old floppy disks and store in a hard drive.
get an external usb floppy drive and just copy and paste files to folders on the hard drive. If you mean the big black 5.25 inc disks, then you'll need to find a really old pc and copy the files via a network connection.

Change old laptop from windows 98 to xp
I have compaq presario 17xl260 with windows 98. Want to install beter windows program like xp. It has 64.0 MB of Ram. How much more would I need to run xp and office. Can you suggest brand amount of ram etc. Thanks
if you're on 98 still, then your pc is at least 10 years old. To up grade almost anything on that will cost a lot and will just be like a bandaid on a gun shot wound. I recently planned to upgrade a pc, but found it would be cheaper and easier to get a new one. The older the pc, the less available the parts, that means more money. Also on a new pc, you know eveything will work the version of windows installed.

Monitor - icon display.
Why are my desktop icons gone when I wake up my monitor? I have to turn off & then on the monitor for them to display. This can happen even when I'm online & the monitor goes to sleep. Everything disappears when I wake it up, then I have to turn it off & on.
get a new monitor, disable sleep in windows, or just deal with it. There usually isn't anything you can do to fix a monitor that won't cost the same as a newer, better one.

does any company make a car charger for laptops 12 volt
i am unable to run a inverter in my company truck and so i cant charge batt.on laptop
Targus might still make one, but you should be able to get a small (75-100 watt) inverter that plugs into a cigarette lighter plug.
