Bought the Ooma Telo so I could get rid of my landline but keep my phone number which I've had for 9 years. Yesterday I did just that. The phone number porting process was very simple and took about 3 weeks to complete with Ooma handling it and giving me status updates the whole time (for a reasonable $40 one time fee). Voice quality has actually improved over my old POTS line! I'm happy and would recommend this product to anyone who's tired of paying $600/yr for a phone line. Clearly the ROI equation on this purchase is pretty simple has I'll have made back my investment in less than 4 months.
What's great about it: Easy to set up, feature rich, get to keep my phone number
What's not so great: I've got structured wiring so the box has to live in the SW can so I lose a bit of screening functionality.
