Hunkered aboard a sturdy military ship and triumphantly homeward bound, Xian Mei, Sam B and the rest of their battle-weary crew are able, at long last, to breathe a sigh of relief ~ or so they thought. Sure, they may have quelled the wave of zombies that attacked Banoi in Dead Island, but they forgot one rule that governs the sea ~ beware the Riptide. Just as their rescue helicopter touches down to safety on the ship deck, a furious monsoon ravages the hopes of our unfortunate protagonists and steers them on a direct course toward imminent doom ~ in yet another zombie-ridden town. An undead uproar is on the horizon once more ~ and this time, the carnage and chaos promise to be more rampant than ever. Pack your suitcase and load your weapons for another vacation on Dead Island. Rife with all of the mutant-zombie mayhem of the original, plus unforeseen new plot twists, challenges and features, Dead Island Riptide drags you to an all-new danger zone in the town of Henderson. Once a luxurious watering hole for the yacht-collecting upper class and tree-hugging eco-tourists, Henderson is now a storm-soaked ghost town, where only wreckage and occasional boats remain. But this port locale on the island of Palanai is also your one last hope for survival. Rally together with the surviving members of the team and orchestrate an elaborate defense using traps, fences and turrets to keep your brain-eating foes at bay. This time, the battle gets up-close and personal as a master of hand-to-hand combat joins the team as a fifth playable character. Take control of John Morgan's powerful fists and brawl against zombies like never before. Plus, collaborate more wisely with allies using new and enhanced features in co-op mode.

I played Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide back to back, so this is a combo review. If you liked the original, you will like this one also. I was able to put my Riptide save on my USB, unlike Dead Island, which made it possible to use my Game Genie. I leveled all of the characters to 70 in Riptide, Logan was the best in D.I., but Purna is the best in D.I.R., in my opinion. I found a legendary shotgun with Purna and was able to get 10,000 rounds with my GG, which made it a blast to play.
DLC isn't great in either game, I am looking forward to the next Dead Island coming out on PS4.

What's great about it: USB savable, characters.
What's not so great: DLC.

I spent several hundred hours playing Borderlands, the second play through was a blast due to Willow Tree modded weapons, unfortunately there is none of this for Borderlands 2. I dislike co-op or multiplayer, this game is too hard for the single player. I would give anything for one of the modded weapons I had in Borderlands for this game. I have come across several timed missions, something I really abhor in games. They really miss the mark with sniper rifles in both games, they should have a silencer like the Z93 in Far Cry 3. You can only get one head-shot, then everyone knows where you are.
I hope the developers allow Willow Tree and modded weapons soon to help the single player mode. I am only a fraction through with the game, so my opinion may change later, I really wish they would of left timed missions out of the game.
What's great about it: New characters and locations.
What's not so great: Timed missions & Single play.

I purchased this card because I couldn't find any psn network codes anywhere, which you get within the hour after purchasing, at least I do. I highly recommend getting the network code instead of this card, unless you don't mind waiting.
What's great about it: Best way to put funds in the PSN Store.
What's not so great: Takes a while to receive.

Since Amazon stopped selling PSN card downloads, Best Buy is the only place left to get this product. I have bought these many times over the internet with no problems and you get instant funds for the PS3. Why go to a store when you can save gas and time by going this route?
What's great about it: Instant funds, no tax, no gas, no waiting.
What's not so great: Nada

Amazon stopped selling downloadable content for the ps3, sadly, so Best Buy is the only option now. This is the best option also after the psn was hacked earlier. I have used this option many times and highly recommend this method.
What's great about it: No shipping, tax, gas or waiting in line.
What's not so great: Can't find it on sale.

Single-player= Major letdown!!

I really loved Uncharted 2, especially after playing it through the first time because of the bonus tweaks and skins. It was so much better to play with unlimited ammo and one shot kills than looking for ammo on the ground after killing an enemy. There is absolutely nothing to unlock for campaign mode in this game, what a major disappointment!! The developers put everything into the multiplayer mode, which I don't like and will probably never play. I guess Naughty Dog is trying to make another Modern Warfare online game, I wish I would of known this beforehand, could of saved some money. I don't even bother to look for treasures in this game because they are worthless. I haven't finished the game yet, but I already know I will only play it once, unlike the previous one. I could tell it was going to be bad when I went to the psn store and everything was for multiplayer only.
Graphics are awesome like always, I really like the characters, wish there was more of Chloe though.
What's great about it: Graphics, characters, beautiful set pieces, story.
What's not so great: Nothing to unlock single-player, no bonus tweaks.

Give it a chance.

After watching the first half hour, I said to myself what is this garbage, and almost stopped watching it. Figured it to be a low budget B movie, but it got a lot better as it went along. I didn't realize beforehand that it was made in South Africa, thought it might of been Australian. The aliens had some cool weapons and it was nice to see them kick butt in the end. Didn't watch the extras, no comment.
What's great about it: Foreign take on Sci Fi movie
What's not so great: First half hour or so.

A wild and tangled crime adventure involving gangsters, Irish gypsies, and a dog that can't stop swallowing things, SNATCH is both hilarious and action-packed. Jewel thief Franky Four Fingers (Benicio Del Toro) is in London en route to New York, where he will deliver an 86-karat diamond to his boss, Avi (Dennis Farina). a compulsive gambler, Franky is tempted into an illegal boxing scam, becoming the unwitting suspect in a robbery committed by bumbling pawnshop owners Vinny (Robbie Gee), Sol (Lennie James), and their oaf-of-a-driver, Tyrone (Ade). Meanwhile, novice boxing promoter Turkish (Jason Statham), and his dim-witted partner, Tommy (Stephen Graham), move into the big time with twisted crime boss, Brick Top (Alan Ford), and Mickey, a mumbling, unhinged Irish gypsy boxer (Brad Pitt). Thrown into the proceedings are killers Bullet Tooth Tony (Vinnie Jones) and Boris the Blade (Rade Sherbedgia). Directed by Guy Ritchie. Starring Brad Pitt, Benicio Del Toro, Jason Statham.

Excellant Crime Caper!

This is one of my all time favorite movies, had to get it when I heard it was coming to blu ray. Never get tired of watching this hilarious crime saga. It doesn't look like a blu ray movie though, PQ is slightly better than dvd version. No regret in buying, since I only view blu ray now, must have for me.
What's great about it: Non-stop thugs & comedy.
What's not so great: BluRay picture quality is poor.

From director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg comes a thrilling battle between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. When their epic struggle comes to Earth, all that stands between the Decepticons and ultimate power is a clue held by young Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf). Unaware that he is mankind's last chance for survival, Sam and Bumblebee, his robot disguised as a car, are in a heart-pounding race against an enemy unlike anything anyone has seen before. It's the incredible, breath-taking film spectacular that USA Today says 'will appeal to the kid in all of us'.

Worth the wait!
on November 22, 2009
Posted by: Miguel

This is my favorite movie of the year thus far. I don't go to movie theaters, so it was worth the wait to watch on blu ray in my home theater. Yes, the Transformers lose some of originality of the first one, but that did not diminish the movies in my eyes like a lot of the bad reviews I read when it came to cinemaplexes. I loved the comedy aspect, but could do without the annoying parents. Megan Fox is smoking on blu ray also.
What's great about it: PQ, Transformers, comedy.
What's not so great: Annoying parents.

What's great about it: Blu Ray quality
What's not so great: Wish it was longer

How do I make my Blu-Ray player work on my current home theater?

Can you explain how to hook up my Blu-Ray player to my current home theater system. My current system does have a regular dvd player already with it though.
If your home theater system has hdmi pass through, you put a hdmi cable from your reciever to your tv, then hook up your blu ray player to the reciever with a hdmi cable to get hd sound.

Why does my tv look different than yours?

I have a ps3 that I use for my blue ray dvd's but my tv doesn't look as good as the one you display at the store. I have hdmi cable hooked up to it but its still not as sharp as the display unit.
Is your tv a 1080p and what model. Also, what kind of hdmi cable do you have hooked up to it. Is it a 1.3 version and what is the transfer speed.
