was looking for a wireless keyboard for a new home theater pc (htpc) I built. I already have several logitech products; all good.
I saw this combo; did not really need another basic wireless mouse (had one) but thought that I would get the combo based upon the reviews of the keyboard - very glad that I did.
keyboard is full size, nice feel to the keys. a little different than a 'standard' keyboard, but not different in a bad way. Thin and light weight in a good way. overall, a nice keyboard (in general, as a keyboard) and double nice in that it is wireless. separate media buttons are nice for volume and playback.
mouse is surprisingly good - nice feel in the hand and very precise accuracy. but, I wish it had the browser page forward, page back buttons. will have to get one with that feature myself some day, but for now this mouse is good enough for the htpc and basic use.
plug and play operation. absolutely no connection issues, or keyboard or mouse lag, from about 15 feet away.

I am thrilled with it. I'll say it again: I am thrilled with it.
This system is high quality and is an incredible value (especially if you get it on sale).
I have a Klipsch home theater setup (over $3,000), so I was familiar with the brand name. I did a lot of research and found that the Promedia 2.1 was highly regarded. So, I bought it at Bestbuy when it was on sale.
Same crisp clear sound quality as my high end home theater Klipsch - across the range from lows to mids to highs. Also, as much, or as little, bass as you want - easily controlled.
The controls on the one speaker are very convenient.
These speakers, since they are powered, are so powerful that even cranked up to only 20 percent (on my PC) they can rock an entire side of the house.
I listen to music and play games on my pc - sound details in both are excellent.
Very highly recommended. I would buy another set in a second.
