So far we are generally happy with this tablet, we have iPads as well but I like the native functionality with our MS office suite and the syncing with the desktop at work saved a lot of time in setup.
What's great about it: built in stand, keyboard interface is nice, pen works well
What's not so great: keyboard should be included, keyboard should have pen storage
I would recommend this to a friend!

The good and bad of it....
Good = BB had them in stock, they work, we got out of a jam on some production equipment because BB had them when everyone else was out of them or had the wrong type (D instead of I)

the BB price was more than twice what we usually pay as a direct importer but time was a problem so we refer to the things that are listed as good above and need to be happy with completing the job.

Convenient Wireless Option to a Standard Cuff

Setup was easy enough, removed unit from the packaging, plugged in the included charge cable and let it simmer for a few hours. Loaded App to iPhone and Sync'd the cuff to the phone.....
Later that night we set out to compare the product to our old electronic upper arm cuff unit. I took a baseline reading from the old unit and it was a specific reading in the range I was used to, then we tried the wrist cuff and got readings that were either way high or way low. I was about to toss it back in the box and return it but I looked about on line and found some anecdotal comments on how sensitive it was to position and movement during the read cycle so we set up to try it again in a more controlled manner and this time with a recent doctor visit reading on hand which was supplemented with similar readings from my old unit. This time the unit came in on the money 4 out of 5 times on both wrists as far as matching the older unit.
I don't recommend having to take readings several times each time but everyone will during the period where we need to build confidence in the device accuracy, but once that confidence is established we opt for two readings each time, one sitting and one standing which is the normal regimen our HMO team uses.
This was a satisfying purchase when we finally dialed in the process.
Next I want to link it in to the MyFitnessPal App so that my health stats can all be kept in one place along with my FitBit Force WristBand, Workout heart rate monitor and linked in scale.

Surface and iTunes
Can I install iTunes on the surface3? The disclaimer states that iTunes songs can be imported. Does this mean I can't sync my iPhone on the surface?
you can install iTunes, when you log in to iTunes you would authorize the surface pro just like any other PC

Without a data plan needed, if wifi is not available, how do you access information?
use your smart phone as an access point by tethering, you wifi to it and it uses the cell carrier's data network, watch out for excess data charges if you have a small data plan however

Can I load older (Windows XP compatible) applications from a USB CD-rom drive?
My business PC runs Windows XP and I have CD installation discs for all my applications. Can I install them from USB CD-ROM drive? Will they run under Windows 8.1?

External CDROM
Does the surface pro3 allow for an external CDROM to be connected and used?
I don't know about an older USB CDROM but a new ASUS USB CD/DVD external drive worked fine for installing Microsoft Office

How do you transfer pictures from the SP3 to a disk???
This is dumb BUT how do you get pictures you have taken transferred to another computer so you can burn a disk???
drag and drop them to a USB stick, or use a USB to USB transfer cable, then again if you have an email client on your tablet you can attach them to emails and send them to yourself at your desktop computer.

How many pins on each end?
one one side is the 15pin high density VGA connection (female)
on the DVI-i side you have three groups of pins totaling 17 in all
looking at the DVI end holding the connector so it looks like the letter D
you have a group of 4 pins in two rows (2x2) at the top, just below center there is another group of 8 pins in three rows (3x3x2) and at the bottom portion of the D profile is a set of 4 pins set 2x2 but with a flat blade keying pin splitting the space between them.
the DVI-D version does not have those last 5 pins.

graphics card video output?
I bought XFX R6670 graphics card, and a Dynex DVItoVGA dx-d1114 adaptor to go to my monitor. The geek squad at best buy said it would work. Is this compatible? i'm not getting signal. I've already spent over 300$ in upgrades just to play one game, and now i can't get a signal on my monitor. please help.
Does your mother board have "onboard" video, sometimes you need to go into the bios settings and set which video mode is primary.
if the onboard video is first up your video card will possibly not initialize
if you plug a monitor into the 15pin vga connector on the motherboard and you get video this is probably the case

number of pins!
i'm looking at the dvi side of the adapter and there are two pins both above and below the horizontal copper bar [on the left side] and the dvi socket on the back of my computer does not accommodate these pins. Did I order the wrong part, is there a match for my machine?
There are two types of DVI connections in the DVI world
DVI-D which does not have the extra pins
DVI-I which does have the extra pins
the type of output needs to match the video display input signal requirement so the extra pins are there to keep you from plugging in the wrong type of output signal to the wrong type of device input
