My son's Hard Drive died so this was a replacement for a Dell Inspiron 15 (N series model). I left it up to my oldest son to replace it since I didn't want the headache of taking a laptop apart. He installed the HD with no issues. Only had trouble with getting the O/S setup since Microsoft has made this more complicated than necessary.

Purchased this for a really cheap price. It may not hold up for long, but I won't be too upset since I can return it under the 1 year warranty. Insignia brand cables and earpods have not lasted a year in my household. I keep exchanging them every few months. Don't waste the money on the extra warranty because you won't need it.

will this work on xbox one
I only know it will because my son was going to use this 2TB hard drive for our Xbox One. Instead, he opted to upgrade the hard drive in the PS4. He took the original PS4 1TB hard drive out, put it in the Seagate shell case and connected that to the Xbox One. Not the exact same hard drive, but it would've worked just the same.
