A romance between a young widow and a sea captain's ghost weaves a magical tale of immortal love. Well-acted, well-written, well-made old classic of manly ghost who falls in love with lovely woman with child. Natalie Wood played child in very early role. Woman's romance, but, as a man, I enjoyed it equally as well-made well-paced classic.

GREAT BAND WITH LOVELY FEMALE HARD ROCK VOCALS

The band plays wonderful hard rock music that didn't have swear words, like some hard rock music (occasionally, including female singers of hard rock--remember Jagged Little Pill), and her vocals sound so lovely, and hard, and enjoyable. The background music from band sounds memorable, and the vocals sound like most female singers don't--hard, tough, but still very feminine in a truly wonderful and endlessly enjoyable way. I listen to discs by this band millions of times and (most of the time) I do not care if I hear other bands for months.

Though the Tom Baker complete season had only 20 episodes and 5 full story-lines, every modern Doctor Who fan will have to buy the Tom Baker years. His years seemed more child-like, and earned their "children's show" appeal in old days that some think WHO doesn't have anymore. Kids will enjoy it, who dislike modern WHO for confused story-lines, and "political correct" homosexual characters, etc. In the end, classic appeal for WHO fans, young and old, and more youth friendly than modern series.

I had already had "First Flights" on DVD, but liked the $10 sale price for Blu-ray and didn't mind upgrading. One of the better DC cartoon movies; unlike some of them, it didn't have swear words, people without clothes, or overdone blood. Kids could watch "First Flights," but I would hesitate before small kids watched the "Catwoman" short on "Batman: Year One" as it contained strip club stripper scenes--in a cartoon (why?)!

The series started better than it finished, with episodes that saw the aliens "breaking wind" to identify themselves as aliens (I think that was what happened, since the "breaking wind" scenes turned me off on the whole episode), but I do wish that the Ninth Doctor could have appeared in more than one series.
