Accomplishes what I need

I had been looking into getting a security camera system after a recent incident. I was looking at a system that had a powered camera with wifi that used a DVR. I stumbled across this Arlo Pro system and thought I would give it a try even though it used battery powered cameras. The system was easy to set up, the computer software interface worked well and the app for my phone also worked well. I used the phone primarily to set up the cameras and view their images while mounting and adjusting. Some cameras I use night vision on and some I do not. There was some trial and error getting the positioning just right for the image to look nice without the night vision at night. There is a little bit of head scratching trying to get to the right menu on the phone to change certain perimeters, but it was easily figured out. Just be sure to save your changes whether it is motion sensitivity, duration, audio, etc. Each camera can be labeled or re-ordered in the software to meet the way you want them laid out. It always is quick to send notifications when the cameras are capturing movement. Battery life is something yet to be seen. My most active camera covering my driveway just needed its first recharge after about 5 weeks of use. This one captures 30 second clips. My other cameras around the exterior of the house are still at about 60% or above on battery life. Most of these capture between 30 to 60 seconds of video but are not as active. 720 Video quality is adequate for what I need. You can zoom in and out while watching the recorded videos or during a live stream. Nice to have the ability to see what is going on at the house while I am away anytime of day or night. I even capture the milkman when he delivers at 3:45 a.m. These cameras capture audio, but I do not use the speaker function for 2 way communication. I hear that is something that is weak, but I have not tried it. Overall a good buy with easy installation. I also purchased an additional camera to take full advantage of the free 5 camera video storage ability. A nice feature of the phone app is that it will show you the most recent images captured with a time notification for when it occurred without having to go to the library tab. You can also set the zoom level for each camera to capture exactly what you are aiming for.
