Revisit the Mushroom Kingdom in all its side-scrolling glory in New Super Mario Bros. U. really enjoy these games, New Super Mario Bros U more than the Luigi one (all of the levels are on a fast timer, so you have to run). I've been a fan of Mario since the 80's, my husband as well, we both had the NES. While I haven't played all Mario games, I find this one to be the most challenging. In each level, you collect 3 large star coins, some of them are hidden REALLY well. The ghost house levels are challenging too, I could see it being harder for a child to get through some of the levels. My #1 gripe is the "Death Pause" during multi-player gaming. I can't even count the number of times I have died because the screen frozen right before a jump. The freeze is for about 1/2 a second, but it can be the difference between running and jumping and running and falling into a hole. I wish they'd remove it.
