The precocious six-year-old Manhattanite of Kay Thompson's beloved Eloise books gets into the holiday spirit while playing cupid in this made-for-TV comedy. Eloise (Sofia Vassilieva) resides at the Plaza Hotel with her parents, and like much of the hotel staff she's excited about the upcoming marriage of Rachel Peabody (Sara Topham), the daughter of the hotel's owner, to handsome Brooks Oliver (Rick Roberts). However, Eloise learns that Brooks's motivations for marrying Rachel are not sincere, and so the youngster tries to sway Rachel away from her fianc~ and towards Bill (Gavil Creel), a good-hearted waiter in the hotel's restaurant. Eloise at Christmastime also features Julie Andrews, Jeffrey Tambor, and Christine Baranski.

Between 1976 and 1978, three principal stars of The Honeymooners (Jackie Gleason, Audrey Meadows and Art Carney) and one newcomer (Jane Kean, replacing Joyce Randolph as Trixie Norton) teamed up for four hour-long network specials that presented the final adventures of the Kramdens and the Nortons. The fourth of these, a program entitled Jackie Gleason's Honeymooners Christmas, aired in December 1978 and appears in this release. In it, Ralph drums up a get-rich-quick scheme that involves betting his and Alice's life savings, his mother-in-law's social security check, and Ed Norton's holiday bonus on a lottery jackpot.

I just love the old cartoons and while Gumby was not really around much when I was a child, I know that he and Pokey were definitely big when my parents were children. Obviously, this showcases old themes, characters, and stories, but it was a lot of fun to watch. I'm sure it is fantastic if you are big time into GUMBY :)

Dryer Instal Team

I had to wait 1 month to get my washing machine delivery date. They gave me a 4 hour window and then totally missed that time frame. I had to call my sales rep at Best Buy to find out if the install team was really going to come on the scheduled time. Ends up they were late - really late. I mean . . . you have a 4 hour window. You would think that they could get it in that time slot. Obviously they were overbooked or lazy. Either way, it's their problem to solve not mine, and I was not happy that I had to go on a hunt for them and to updated on the status. Was told they would call me 2 hours before they arrived. They called 10 minutes before they arrived.
They install team worked quickly but rather haphazardly. They did not put any protective drapes or covers on my doors, floors, etc. If they had hit or scraped places during the install, I would have had a damaged home :| Everyone else that has come out to install things like my refrigerator, furniture, etc. has taken care to ensure that my home is not damaged while they work. I must admit I was nervous the whole time they were here. I would not want this install team back again.

While I was connecting with the rep, the installer came back in and ended up taking care of the hole that he said he could not do for me - so I really have no clue if he was lying or if Best Buy just gave me incomplete instructions.
