I wanted to replace my old Belkin 150 with one that could use the newer "ac" protocol as well as b,g,n. I am buying a new laptop that has b,g,n,ac modes hoping that the combo will result in a much faster internet experience. This one had great reviews and seem to fill my needs. I have had it a short time but overall I am good with it. I only paid $100 when it was on sale during Thanksgiving. It has all the basic USER CONTROLS like setting passwords. It does not give me as many "details" to set as the old one but I guess they aren't needed because this one is suppose to automatically "maximize" speeds for me. I wish I could change what channels to use. I know most people never do much more than change the default router password. Also, I was surprised when I discovered Linksys is owned by Belkin. I found out when I went to the support site and saw it was a Belkin address. I did get good support (used chat) with a few questions I had.

The cheapest way I found to experiment with VR on an android phone and I think it would also work on an Apple device. Regular price is just $10 but I bought 2 for my daughters at $5 each on sale. They did the job on several free demos but some were better than others.

How many channels does this router support?
If by "channels" you mean like 1 thru 12 (or more) I am not sure because I can find no way to manually set a channel as I could on my old Belkin 150. This one says it will automatically adjust and maximize speeds as needed (sometimes called "load balancing"). It has 3 bands. One 2.4GHz and two 5GHz bands.

does this router have an adapter that is dual voltage (110v-220v) with 50-60hz?
No. I do not see any way on mine. You could use an external adapter which many buy when going overseas for many 120v devices.

Does this router have "band steering?"
According to the (limited) documentation,YES. There is a tab on the software you should download and use that gives you 3 options for band steering. 1) all 3 bands 2) just the 5Ghz 3) OFF - for individual networks

Do they have this in stores? Specifically in the west la location?
Yes, but check inventory online first. Several near me are out of stock right now. However, you can buy online and pay for shipment to an address or chose free pickup at any store if you can wait for the store to receive it.
