Good Sounds, lacks features

This is my second Sanza Clip player. While this new model has better FM reception and great audio, the controls are quite different. Most importantly, I have been unable to find a control that will lock it, so it often will switch to another song or book chapter while I'm cycling. The clip on my old one outlasted the circuit board. This one is already beginning to fail.

As noted above, this is a good basic portable. It is one of the few small units that carry AM/FM/Weather. My wife uses it to listen to ball games in locations where the AM signal is better than the FM station.

What's not so great: Reception can be a bit substandard, especially FM

I would like to use this on my morning public transit (bus) commute.

Yes. This unit holds up pretty well in transit. My wife listens to it on the light rail and bus. It can get a little sketchy at times, depending on the location and, for FM, tall buildings blocking the line of site FM signal.
