I am not sure if it is the ink or the HP printer but the ink runs out pretty quick. Buying the combo pack is convenient and when I print in color the pictures are beautiful. I would recommend this product because it does work. and the price is affordable.

Why does cartridge only get 40 prints before I need to replace?
Hello Dave,
There can be a number of reasons for your problem. I generally need to replace my cartridge every month because I have three people using the printer. To save on ink we print in gray scale or black ink only and print preview to check for errors before printing. Some documents are longer than others which require more ink so I guess that might be a factor in how many prints you are able to use before replacing the cartridge. Dave I hope this information helps you.
