This is a great camera with excellent clarity, night vision, sd card capacity for recording. When i look at it remotely it is clear and very helpful to me. Setting up email alerts for sound, snapshot or video was easy. With that said, the mydlink online site to use was an issue as were the settings. First of all i get hundreds of emails per day and had to constantly change the sensitivity. OK, i understand that but it really is a problem if you have it in an area where the sun impacts it. Getting to the website on my Internet Explorer says the site is not recommended and you need to tell it to go to it though not recommended by IE. It does not work with Microsoft Edge at all (at least it didn't 3 days ago). When i was traveling i decided to change the setting slightly to reduce all the emails. After all, that's why i have this. I was never once able to change a setting remotely. Not sure why as it was no problem once I was home in the same network. So if you can put up with a few nagging issues, the hardware is worth the price.

I purchased this for my new Designer Microsoft desktop. I was hoping it would give me benefits: reduce any lag time, allow touch to wake and more. Unfortunately the lag time was much worse and not able to wake. I did get the latest drivers but no help.

I actually installed this for a friend. I received it from Best Buy, and did the initial set up at my house. Easy to turn on,, install cartridges and understand where everything was. I used online YouTube videos by the way. Then i went to set it up in my friends home. 15 minutes it was up and running. IPhone printed perfectly, wireless set up for home computer was perfect. This was very easy to set up. Once set up it was intuitive for everything we needed. The fact that it includes lifetime maps is a big plus. POI and other things included also work perfectly. The screen is large and easy to read. I have not found anything to reduce this review.

I got this to replace my daughter's laptop hard drive which crashed. The installation was actually very easy for the hardware. Once i did that it took just a bit of research to make sure it was formatted and ready for Windows 8.1 installation. There is really no instructions so you need to dig in a bit to find it but then it was easy. It works fine with no issues.

I used it with my Windows 10 desktop and have had no issues at all. As a matter of fact, i purchased this because it was supposed to be compatible with Windows 10

Is original packaging intact?
Does it come with the original retail packaging and all 4 rewards by Samsung?
No. Actually the worst part of the process is the packaging is almost non existent. There was a plug, wire and the tablet. nothing else. But it didn't matter as all worked perfectly.

When buying a "refurbished" product, is there any way to know what specfic component was repaired?
Is there any difference between an open box return versus a defective unit return? Was the battery bad? The display? The speakers? the camera(s)? Is there any way to know?
Not that i know of. You won't know. After repairs it is run through a series of tests to insure it works. That's all i know.

What does it mean refurbished? Will the tablet function and look just like new? Or will it have non functioning spots?
It is as new. What is missing would be the original documentation. I was worried about that but the fact that it just worked after being turned on was great. The biggest issue to me was the lack of documentation but all you have to do is get it on line. The product is as new.
