Hmmm - bad advice?

The Best Buy sales person recommended this modem after I explained that my provider was Frontier/Verizon to go with a LinkSys router I was buying to reduce buffering on my computers/phones/tvs. When I got it home and set it up and spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone with ARRIS support, they told me it couldn't work with Frontier/Verizon. I returned it the same day to Best Buy and the new sales person showed me how to make just the router work with my system. Best Buy took the modem back and credited me with absolutely no problem.

Bought this because of slow buffering from my cable company (frontier/verizon) particularly with Netfix and in rooms a little distance from cable company provided router. Very little to no buffering with this new router. Just a tad over priced for a plastic box.

Great dryer but horrible installation problem. Bought this dryer for side vent option and sales person ordered me a side vent package. Review said it worked well. When it was delivered they had the wrong venting package. Had to go back to Best Buy and order a side vent package. I had to wait over a week for it. When the repair installation crew came out to install it they said they weren't allowed to install the side vent. Eventually Best Buy had to hire an external appliance repair person to install it. This process took three weeks. Sales manager was excellent trying to get the problem resolved but he kept running into internal blocks at Best Buy. All's well that ends well.

Based on reviews… which said that the LG washer and dryer that I bought are excellent but periodically they ship lemons, I decided to subscribe to the geek squad protection plan. I've never done this before but the reviews said that when the machines are lemons they're truly lemons and will need to be replaced over a period of time. But once you get them working they work very very well.So far so good. I haven't had to use the geek squad warranty so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm hoping my first washer and dryer ordered aren't lemons.

wrong vent package

Sales person ordered the wrong Vent package for me. I bought my dryer specifically because it had the option of having a side vent. I have a very small laundry room and a side vent was the only way that I could fit everything in. So I didn't actually use this vent package. Best buy did eventually order the side vent package. And eventually we were able (after three weeks) to get the dryer installed with the side vent. But they had to hire an outside vendor to be able to install the side vent. I wish they would've told me this before I actually purchased all of the equipment. Once installed it appears to be working fine.

This is the basic power cord that needed to be used to be able to have the equipment installed. It came with the equipment when it was delivered as I had ordered it. They installed it without any problems. Not too much to be able to say about a power cord. The LG washer and dryer that I went without are fine pieces of equipment.
